And what evidence is there beyond St. Peter’s mother-in-law of the apostles actively juggling family life and the priesthood? I don’t recall Paul telling Timothy or Titus “be sure to say Hi to the missus and the kids for me.”

At least you admit there is some evidence. God ordained marriage. He did so when the Levites were priests and has made no explicit order to the contrary. God does not change but the laws of man do.
