There is nothing in the Bible precluding priests from being married men. Precisely the opposite is true.

Compulsory clerical celibacy was not instituted by the Church until well into the Middle Ages and for reasons which have nothing to do with anything that can be found in the Bible.

How about the fact that there is no Christian priesthood at all in the bible. There's your core problem.
