Heard any good jokes lately?
I saw one online this morning. It's an oldie but goodie; a real side splitter.
The Holy See is reporting Pope Francis' diplomatic voyage to Kenya as ... get this: an Apostolic Journey.
It's dark humor to be sure, but downright hilarious just the same. The sad thing is, however, the people reporting it seem to be serious.

Of course, it won't be worth much or even free.
But, hey, I am a communist...not a Catholic.
The need to pray for the pope has never been clearer than it is now. We can criticize, for sure, and I’m one of his biggest critics. But I was in St. Peter’s Basilica with him the night he announced the Year of Mercy. He passed no more than 10 feet from me. And what I saw that night was a man who needed my prayers, not my judgment. Whenever I feel the temptation to criticize him I try to remember that precisely because he’s not up to the job (and who is?) he needs our fervent prayers.
Amen, and he gets mine every day.
We are to pray for leaders, not so much because they are good, but because they are not good.
Thank you for those humbling comments.
Prayers up.
Are you a Catholic, Rooster? I can’t remember.
The article asks a good question, but having met many, many, absolutely incredible African Christ followers, I believe they will see through the B.S. the Pope is somehow becoming the mouthpiece for....the believing Africans are very discerning and some Americans could take a lesson or two from them.
I am not, but I occasionally go to Mass with a family member who is. I am a devout Christian though.
The only reason I asked is that this is a caucus thread - for Catholics only. Not trying to be annoying just letting you know.
I forgot.
