Pro-life Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson wonât meet with or apologize to Bobby Schindler, Terri Schiavoâs brother, about comments Carson made concerning the legislation Congress passed to help Terri Schiavoâs family try to save her life.
As LifeNews reported, Carson thinks the federal and state governments overreached when they attempted to protect Terri Schiavo from a painful 14-day starvation and dehydration death. Despite the best efforts of pro-life lawmakers in Congress and the Florida state legislature, where lawmakers approved pro-life laws to allow Terriâs family to take their case to federal courts and to allow then-Governor Jeb Bush to try to protect her, Terriâs estranged husband won a court order to euthanize her against her will.

His Terry Schiavo comment and his favoring statehood for Puerto Rico have removed him from ALL of my consideration.
Carson is a pathetic puke. I don’t care what medical degrees he holds. Screw him and he needs to go home. Terri Shiavo’s husband and judge murdered her. Plain and simple.
“Terri’s estranged husband won a court order to euthanize her against her will.”
That should send a chill through each and every one of us.
Government no longer PROTECTS US in any way, shape or form. At a MINUM, it should protect the weakest among us! The unborn, the infirm, and the elderly. And yet...here we are in 2015. So, ‘enlightened.’ So, ‘nuanced.’ Grrrrr!
Jeb was a non-starter for me due to this, Carson is the same after I read that comment a few weeks back.
Makes me wonder if Dr. Carson is actually in Jeb’s camp. I’m actually glad Carson showed his true views before he had a delegate count.
I don’t imagine it has helped Ben’s cause that Rush Limbaugh took the unprecedented position on Fox News Sunday and said that Carson was not ready to be President.
Embellishing stories about what you saw on 9-11 is one thing.
Dismissing the murder of an innocent victim as “much ado about nothing” is quite something else.
Bye, Ben.
We hardly new ye.
But he’s such a nice guy!

My name is Ted Cruz ... and I approve of this message.
Ben doesn’t seem to understand that Terri was NOT typical of the “all the time” cases he’s speaking of. She was stable on feeding, there was a willing caretaker, there was debate about how much of her was left, nobody could make a case that she was in pain. It seemed a horrible travesty, that danced on the most abstruse legal arguments rather than principles of humanity.
My prayer, before giving up on Ben, would be that if somehow Satan is blinding Ben, God will strike Satan away from Ben’s eyes.
Carson actually supports euthanasia- and thinks there should be a panel of doctors to determine who should be kept alive and who shouldn’t be-
His remarks about Terrie are consistent with his vile ideology!
100%, that’s One Hundred Percent un-eletectable.
Not a chance.
Waiting to be called a bigot again in 3...2...1
His Terry Schiavo comment and his favoring statehood for Puerto Rico have removed him from ALL of my consideration.
Hard to believe that him or almost any of our political allies just can't say Schiavo should have been left in the care of her family, not EXECUTED by the state! Especially a Doctor. But then again, there are some callous cold-hearted Doctors out there. I just didn't expect him to be one.
And why aren't any of our political allies speaking out for Puerto Rican independence? Are they afraid they might get some hispanic support? Jeez Louise. Are they afraid they might decrease the deficit ( Puerto Rico must be a net loss to us taxpayers ).
