What role does Satan and his host of demonic forces have in this world? This is a question mankind has long struggled to understand. At one time, the devil was blamed as the cause of nearly every form of adversity. Today, his role has largely been excluded from modern day problems.
The Bible is very clear that Satan is "god" of planet Earth. Paul warned in 2nd Corinthians 4:4:
"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
In Matthew 4:8-9, Satan told Jesus he was the power behind every world government:
"Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."
The rise of Adolf Hitler is one the greatest examples of the devil's ability to control events. In 1919, no one would have guessed that this restless drifter would someday threaten to take over the world. As stunning as Hitler's ascendance to power was, the preservation of his life was the true sign that the hand of Satan was upon him. At least 42 attempts were made to take his life, and all failed in preposterous ways.

Yes, the devil (the god of this world) and his angels (one third of Heaven) are here to steal, kill, and destroy. But for every demon there are two good angels and we are not unaware of his devices. The devil’s power was dealt a fatal blow with the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is the great mystery, hidden in the scriptures. If the rulers of this world had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory.
Jesus said “And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.” This is already occurring. And then the restrainer will be taken away (the rapture?). I’m mid-trib, where the rapture occurs in the middle of the seven years. The two witnesses will be taken first, then the rest follow. Those who are alive and in Christ will be translated. What a blessing to not have to experience death. And the devil knows that his days are numbered. This event (the restrainer removed) will be a green light for the devil and for the sons of darkness. The Nephilim, who tried to destroy God’s plan for redemption, may be released during this time. These super demons have been bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. Releasing them during the tribulation is speculation. I don’t want to be here if and when that happens.

That’s a good argument. Yes, God owns His creation but I think that God allowed the devil to take control of the world (temporarily) when Adam sinned. But when Jesus Christ rose from the grave, He set into motion plans to take back that which was stolen.

Personally, I don’t believe anything Satan says. The governments are not all his. God puts rulers in their places and Satan and his demons still have to obey God. Now they get to obey Jesus since He is on the throne.
P.S. The resurrection and the gathering of the believers at the first resurrection does not occur until after the anti-Messiah is revealed. 2 Thess 2:
“For it [Jesus’ return and the resurrection] will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.”
Jesus didn’t deny anything he said with regard to gov’ts not being his.
God puts Satan on a “leash” so to say, but the Bible is very clear on the Principalities and Powers ruling the world. Yes He’s in control of everything, but if He did control the govt’s of the world, we would clearly not be in the current mess we are in.

The First Resurrection
I’ve heard some folks say, “There cannot be a pre-trib rapture because to have one would require a second resurrection at Christ’s return to earth.” This conclusion is drawn from Revelation 20:
“But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” (Rev 20:5-6).
One pre-trib writer, explaining this passage, said, “The first did not mean first in time, but rather first in kind.” The first resurrection was for God’s people the second will be for the unsaved.
A quick way to shoot down the notion that the first resurrection is tied to a specific date, as opposed to a more general time frame, is to take note of the tribulation rapture of the two witnesses and the 144,000 Jewish evangelists. At the mid-point of the tribulation, the two witnesses are killed by the Antichrist, resurrected by God, and then caught up into heaven (Rev 11:3-12).
Revelation chapter 7 describes the sealing of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists just before the Beast issues his mark. Sometime during the latter half of the tribulation, Revelation chapter 14 indicates they will be “redeemed from the earth,” standing before the throne of God.
The first resurrection explained by one pre-tribulationist to be the first of its kind. Why twist words?
The Bible is very clear that G-d is the G-d of "planet earth" and everything else in existence. There is no other "gxd" of any kind whatsoever, good or evil.
The "new testament" on the other hand, does say that "satan" is the "gxd" of planet earth--yet another contradiction between chrstianity and G-d's already stated truths that chrstians are blind to because the "new testament" was allegedly later added to the Bible (G-d forbid!).
He's not writing some extended treatise asserting Satan's literal authority over the earth (Satan can do only what God permits him to do; who's the real authority in that case?), doesn't specificially name Satan as "theos ton aeon," and can easily be taken as speaking sardonically of someone else's false (to use your term) gxd ... much as you yourself do.

Judgement happened the SAME DAY as Noah went up into the boat. Judgement happened the SAME DAY as LOT went out of Sodom.
Same goes for the Rapture. God always protects those who are His from Judgement. Always!

You of all people should realize that there’s a reason “the god of this age” hates Israel so much and uses that influence over the hopelessly lost in the world.
He’s behind the media, the leftist leaning liberal hate Israel propaganda at universities, he’s the force behind the Islamic forces wishing to annihilate Israel. He’s the power behind all of the unbelieving world.
His big ticket out of the ultimate death penalty case he’s got a destiny with is Israel’s destruction. It’s been his whole plot since the Abrahamic Covenant to topple Israel permanently. If he succeeds, it’ll make God a liar.

We’re at a very prophetic point in history. We’re literally on the cusp of Ezekiel 38 being played out. Russia showing up in Syria is a game-changer, both geo-politically and prophetically speaking. Isaiah 17:1 could happen soon as well.
Your own brethren believe it’s about to go down also.

Both examples are of the final remnant before total annihilation, correct? When Jesus comes back to wipe out the nations surrounding Israel, then the dead are raised and the believers sealed by God are taken up to Him. Every single person who has the mark of the beast will be killed. Most by Satan himself.
Read the letter to the Hebrews and see how connected they are! If you know the Psalms, Hebrews will explain Who they were talking about:

Of course it’s God’s world, and HE is in control.
Yes, GOD is a BIG GOD and yes, “this is HIS WORLD.”
IMHO they are separate events.
The 2nd Coming and the Rapture are two different events.
What you refer to is what happens at the 2nd Coming. Revelation 7 is well into the Tribulation. The 144,000 sealed are Jewish believers who go around the world as evangelists gathering the last great harvest for God. A lot of people confuse the “Great Multitude” in robes with raptured Saints. John doesn’t recognize who these people are at first. In verse 15 it specifically says they have been martyred or executed by the AntiChrist and his forces specifically for their unwillingness to take the mark of the beast.
This multitude has a different destiny from the Church and Israel in the next world. They don’t get all the blessings that will be bestowed upon the church since they weren’t believers upon Christ’s appearing “like a thief in the night”.
If you read past Revelation 4, you’ll notice the Church is not mentioned again. They don’t have to suffer the Tribulation.
I used to think there wasn’t any Rapture. The more I studied, and read the Bible, the more convinced I am that there has to be one. I highly recommend Jack Kelley for a clear understanding on the Tribulation period.

I truly think that the current “alien hysteria” could actually be demons in disguise to fulfill what Mark 13:22 and Matthew 24:24 state about believing the “lie” (2 Thessalonians 2:11).
The Tribulation will be worse than the worst horror and war flicks combined.
