There’s a difference between a Christianity you can be proud of, and a Christianity that you’re madly in love with God through.

Okay, I think I understand what you mean.

I am never bored during Mass.

Neither am I.

And in the end, the Christianity of love will in fact outdo in glory the Christianity that begins by being focused on how it looks. God is that way. He didn’t give us a Christ that was famous for being a handsome fellow, if Isaiah 53 is telling us the truth. He puts wonderful wine in homely bottles, to show the world that it has gotten priorities mixed up.

Call me a love nut if you must. But so is God.
