The Vatican announced today that it’s making faster, easier annulments an option via its brand new delivery system, Annulment Prime.

The news confirms reports that surfaced last week indicating that the Vatican was staffing up a new “separation division” to compete with services offered by its protestant competitors.

The service will give Annulment Prime members faster annulment options at a fraction of the cost. As an introductory offer, members who sign up to Annulment Prime in the next two days will receive a 30-day free trial. Members will also have access to annulment paperwork order-tracking, as well as the option to track the priest working on his or her case in real-time.

The Vatican says that “customers” will see their annulments finalized and delivered within a day or less with no additional charges or delivery fees.

I think they did; big bucks. But now they have grounds to demand a refund, with interest.

Thanks for ridiculing us out here going through the process legitimately. Did it ever occur to you that people that are going through the annulment process are those that WANT to stay connected to the church and the sacrament?
I read earlier today on another site that American’s seek annulment in far greater numbers than in Europe because they are trying to stay connected to the Church vice overseas where they get divorced and just abandon Catholicism. Did you also know that annulments by and large are handed UP from the parish’s to the diocese’s after being vetted? You may think it is a cake walk and fun to poke fun at; let me tell you..17 pages of very invasive questions, family and friends being called to testify via endless pages of questions, round after round of questions. Lots of us out here had our lives turned upside down and cast about because of spouses who hid quite a bit before we said “I Do” and never told us. They tore apart lives and abused immediate and extend family and here you are with a cute graphic.

No matter, have fun. We divorced Catholics are just a bunch of heretics I guess....asshole.

NO, it is not funny. If you have not gone through the process yourself or stood by someone who has, you know not what you speak.

This is mocking the new, improved, streamlined process. Not individuals who are trying to go through the process.

Sorry for calling you an asshole..Truly.
My annulment, while in the hands of the tribunal at this point, has shown a greater light in my life about things that are important; the Church being one of them. The process is truly NOT easy, nothing “prime” about it. I am quite certain there are parish’s out there that would pass annulments up the ladder to the diocese easy peasy, kenned-easy. Mine is not, like most. When I am in church I can’t take the sacrament; I have to hang back in the pew through no fault of my own whilst the busy bodies stare on at me...Should their gazes make a difference to me? no. But they do anyway. There are lots of us out here trying to get right, not through “prime”, but through the process. That graphic, well, lots of posts today and then the graphic had me angry.

So alas, apologies for calling you names.

FWIW, I have a neighbor/friend who is in that situation. He attempted to get an annulment but it was denied. He is faithfully at Mass every Sunday at 7:30 AM and a lot of times at daily Mass, but is unable to communicate.

If you went through the pre-cana stuff before marriage, you should have neen screened for most annullable stuff. That was my understanding 16 years ago so i have to make it work...easy in my case. Dont wish to insult anyones own real struggles. So it would seem to me streamlining should be more pbvious now since so many have been properly vetted originally as to annulable issues to work out beforehand. Hopefully that saves a lot of heartache. How much longer should it take to weigh evidence in a cannonical trial?!
