The man who was named by the Congregation for Religious to oversee what was effectively the destruction of the Franciscans Friars of the Immaculate, Capuchin Fr. Fidenzio Volpi, deeply ill for the past few months, had his death announced today by his province (the Lombardy Province of the Capuchins). May he rest in peace.
When he was first hospitalized, there were rumors that his replacement would be a member of the Pope's own order, the Jesuits.
...Fr. Fidenzio Volpi Dies”
What? Why was he assigned to destroy those who hesitate to use the new order rite?
Translation:
The leftist Franciscan who went after the conservative Franciscans just got fired by God.
Background:
Quod cito acquiritur cito perit.
May God have mercy on his soul. Given his track record, he will apparently need it. The Franciscans of the Immaculate are magnificent men being persecuted by the Church under the present regime. May our next pope be young and vigorous and healthy and a real Catholic with an attitude.
Fidelium animae, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen.
“...May our next pope be young and vigorous and healthy and a real Catholic with an attitude...”
Amen. From your lips to God’s ears, as they say.
If one would permit me to add: real Catholic would mean unwaivering, firm and crystal clear in the traditional interpretation of doctrine. No post Vatican II ambiguity. We need a present day St. Augustine as our leader. Let us pray that the Lord will raise one up - maybe he will even be African like St. Augustine was.
St. Augustine ora pro nobis.
(I am not sure exactly why I just went on a St. Augustine promotional discourse just now because we are talking about Franciscans: so also St. Bonaventure: pray for us.
I second your definition of real Catholic. You are on a St. Augustine promotional discourse because the world needs to hear more about his contributions to Western Civilization and Christendom. Ditto St. Bonaventure. IIRC, Saint Pio of Pietrelcina was a member of a Franciscan order, as well and suffered greatly in silence under injustices imposed by CYA diocesan authorities.
