God is neither "she" nor "he" says Watch, a group which represents women in the church.
The organisation has been accused of trying to "rewrite" Christian doctrine by encouraging people to use the female pronoun when talking about God.
Rev Jody Stowell, vicar at St Michael & All Angels Church in Harrow, says she was "dismayed" by recent reports.
"This is not about making God a woman. This is about creating those proper, Biblical images of God," she explains to Newsbeat.
The ideas surrounding which pronouns to use when talking about God were discussed at a committee meeting in Lambeth Palace, according to Hilary Cotton, chair of Watch.

Same goes for Bruce ‘Trans’ Jenner
Was Christ a man?
As the Scriptures state: G-d is Spirit (not ‘a’ spirit) and those that love Him worship Him in spirit.
God the FATHER
God the SON
How do you get no gender out of that?
“God is neither ‘she’ nor ‘he’ say Anglican priests”
Maybe more like Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner, then?
Must be some chick who created this story, Eve...
“Was Christ a man?”
Perhaps a better question would be, is Christ God? In my experience a very large percentage of Mainline Protestant clergy are Arians.
I’ll wait until Bruce Jenner has a 6 month reality show exploring the issue. What he thinks, matters.
"And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you." Exodus 3:14.
God revealed Himself as “He”, and as the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!!!!
Should we take God at His Word, or should we follow the natterings of feminazis and “gay” “allies”?
So the high priests of the Church of the HeShe says.
You don’t want people actually believing the Bible, do you?
Somehow man was able to warp God’s Word all this time and force gender upon God? And put words in Jesus’ mouth, referring to Him speaking about His Father?
We are seeing the days of Noah establish right in front of our eyes. The great falling away is accelerating.
How do you get no gender out of that?
Gender is fundamentally dual, otherwise there's no gender. You can't have a male gender without a female gender, otherwise, "male" wouldn't mean anything.
So where is God the MOTHER?
A lot of people think that the early church got rid of God the Mother by changing it to the "Holy Ghost" or "Holy Spirit" in order to marginalize women, especially Mary Magdalene.
But if you don't want to go there - if you want to look at half the human race and half of creation and claim that the feminine is simply not an aspect of God, then you have a gender problem with "God the Father and "God the Son" because there's no feminine to make them masculine. And if they aren't masculine, then they aren't "father" and "son."
Or - those gendered terms are metaphors for a a relationship, but not to be taken literally. In which case, emphasizing them as a gender argument as you have done is inapplicable.
A better translation is “The One Who Is”, or “The Only Existing One”!!!!
Arians or Aryans?
That’s not a Priest, it’s a Priestess!
If God wants to refer to Himself in male terminology, who am I to argue? I mean, technically angels don’t have sexes either, but they are referenced in the Bible as appearing like men. Humans, on the other hand, have biological markers that proclaim them to be male or female.
I think God's choice of revealing Himself under male images and names, so that we speak of the Father and the Son as two persons of the All-Holy Trinity, and the Divine Logos becoming Incarnate as the only-begotten son of the Virgin Mary, are conditioned not on any participation in maleness prior to the Incarnation -- a half of a created binary distinction -- but by a mercy to us. Conceiving of God in female imagery always leads to an unsound understanding, not because god is male, but because eventually creation is reconceptualized as birthgiving, abolishing the radical distinction between the created and the Uncreated.
Said at every Episcopal mass
I believe in God the father, almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
