Keep in mind, the Church of Sweden (Den Svenska Kyrkan), is hardly Lutheran or even Christian anymore. I say this with sadness and anger, because I am the grandson of Swedish immigrants and a confessional Lutheran pastor (LCMS), and I have many relatives and friends over in Sweden.

It’s fine with me. Luther had excellent points.

To the Romans, it’s all the same... “sects.”

Don’t even care whether or not the non-Roman congregation is plausibly addressing Christ. This gal, Franklin Graham... all the same to the Romans.

“Don’t even care whether or not the non-Roman congregation is plausibly addressing Christ. This gal, Franklin Graham... all the same to the Romans.”

So the Eastern Orthodox or the Melkites or the Copts or the Ruthenians or the Mar Thoma would have a more “enlightened” view?

She also pointed to climate change and the difficult situation faced by refugees in the world, among the issues of common interest.

Another leftist shill spouting the party line. Did he bow before her to receive her blessing? Kiss her ring? Address her as his "sister bishop"?

Meanwhile, Fr. Stefano Manelli, the founding father of the traditional Franciscans of the Immaculate remains under virtual house arrest. And Francis’ hand-picked Apostolic Commissioner of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, Fr. Volpi, continues to tear that holy order apart. Apparently they weren’t ecumenical enough for Francis.

Is he planning to keep poor Fr. Manelli locked up until he dies? Gestapo tactics.

Francis also said that he had wanted the closure of the theological institute within the Franciscans of the Immaculate (STIM), so that the seminarists would study in the pontifical theology faculties of Rome. He then explained that the Church guarantees orthodoxy through the Pope.

Here's the Vatican's new weird (homo?) logo for the so called Year of Mercy:

Hopefully, Francis might show some mercy for Fr. Manelli and the FOTI.

Has Francis canonized Chang and Eng Bunker?

Seriously, that design is beyond hideous.

No mercy for Fr. Manelli, the FFI, Cardinal Burke or any of the other “museum mummies” who reject the new religion Francis is pushing.

Francis' words and actions contrasted with Pius XI:

Is it not right, it is often repeated, indeed, even consonant with duty, that all who invoke the name of Christ should abstain from mutual reproaches and at long last be united in mutual charity? Who would dare to say that he loved Christ, unless he worked with all his might to carry out the desires of Him, Who asked His Father that His disciples might be “one” [Jn 17:21]. And did not the same Christ will that His disciples should be marked out and distinguished from others by this characteristic, namely that they loved one another: “By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another”? [Jn 13:35] All Christians, they add, should be as “one”: for then they would be much more powerful in driving out the pest of irreligion, which like a serpent daily creeps further and becomes more widely spread, and prepares to rob the Gospel of its strength.

These things and others that class of men who are known as pan-Christians continually repeat and amplify; and these men, so far from being quite few and scattered, have increased to the dimensions of an entire class, and have grouped themselves into widely spread societies, most of which are directed by non-Catholics, although they are imbued with varying doctrines concerning the things of faith. This undertaking is so actively promoted as in many places to win for itself the adhesion of a number of citizens, and it even takes possession of the minds of very many Catholics and allures them with the hope of bringing about such a union as would be agreeable to the desires of Holy Mother Church, who has indeed nothing more at heart than to recall her erring sons and to lead them back to her bosom. But in reality beneath these enticing words and blandishments lies hid a most grave error, by which the foundations of the Catholic faith are completely destroyed.

(Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Mortalium Animos)
