I was so much hoping to get a Q&A lined up with Rep. Jeff Leach of Plano on the subject of Sharia Law in Texas. Hes got a bill that would prohibit family court rulings based on foreign legal codes if that violated our own constitutional protections.
These kinds of bills and state constitutional amendments have popped in several states and have been adopted in a bunch. Theyre widely accepted as trying to keep the Islamic legal code at bay.
A story in the Houston Chronicle mentioned Leachs bill in its coverage of the anti-Muslim furor at the Capitol last week. Excerpt, referencing Mustafaa Carroll, the executive director of the Houston chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations commenting on Leachs bill:
We feel its a red herring and its just meant to mar the community, Carroll said of House Bill 562 by Rep. Jeff Leach, R- Plano.
Leach, however, welcomed the group to the Capitol on Thursday when tweeted, All Texans are welcome at YOUR Capitol and all Texans are always welcome in my office. Come one. Come all!(continued)

it’s bad, everywhere.
next question.
Does that mean I can choose what law I want to operate under? Or is that a Muslim only thing?
To the author, “Is my pooping in your refrigerator a bad thing?”
Would you like living in the 14th century?
If not, you don’t want Sharia.
prohibit family court rulings based on foreign legal codes
Isn’t that kind of a no-brainer? If they want muslim law so much why did they leave it? If they want to live under oppressive laws they have lots of countries to choose from; pick one and go.
Is what not so bad where?! Texas?
I’d ask if there wasn’t a more idiotic person on the planet, but then I’d have to disregard the Resident in the WH.
Nip sharia law in the bud now in all states, this is not a muslim country!
Pass the law.
Then again, maybe we can convince enough of them to move so San Francisco and demand it there? That would be fun to watch.
to, sorry
That was going to be my answer too. The only place this murderous lunacy belongs is in the Islamist sh!tholes it springs from.
What a country... of idiots.
“Is Sharia law in Texas such a bad thing?”
‘H’ yes! IF for nothing else the precedent it would set, the camel’s nose under the tent effect it would set.
NO SHARIA anywhere for any reason in this country. WE HAVE LAWS. WE DON’T NEED ANYONE ELSES.
US Code, Title 18, Section 2385. Look it up, Mr. Jones.
They aren't leaving it. They still fall on their knees to the capital of Islam 5 times a day every day.
They are here to colonize.
funny how the muslims leave their sharia paradises and com to our countries. i never see them all excited and moving back to their middle east muslim caliphate paradises.
Women don't go to school.
Women don't have jobs.
Women don't drive cars.
Homosexuals are thrown off the tops of buildings.
Owning slaves is OK.
People who are not good Muslims can be executed by burning alive.
Once Americans understand the religion, then the question should be asked: Is Sharia Law what you want to see imposed on America?
Doesn’t even belong there.
The Muzzies are weaseling into the system by using “non binding” arbitration in legal cases. However, under this form of “law,” with a little “l,” the only way Islam grants a divorce is through a “Sharia” court. If the parties disagree, they can finish the proceeding in a formal Texas District Court hearing.
One Islamic disagreed in District Court and appealed. He wanted the appellate hearing videotaped do he could send it to a “court” in his own country to try to get his ex wife executed. Now, that’s a sore loser.
