I’ve never seen a conflict between science and my faith. Understanding how God really created the universe seems to me a noble pursuit.

All men are evolved equally. And they are endowed by evolution with certain inalienable rights....

Fits right in with Democrat revisionism.

“Not able to do everything.” So God isn’t “Almighty” like the scripture teaches? Creating the universe, the world, all the animals, and mankind in just six days is a little too much and a task fit only for magicians?

How the cardinal selected this incompetent boob to be pope is unbelievable. They must have been drinking the same Kool-Aid as the jerks who voted for Obama.

God’s not a magician, but as Author C. Clark said, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinquishable from magic.”

God looks like a magician because we can’t do what He does.

I guess not.

Those Old Testament prophets - what a hoot! What jokesters! I bet they could hardly keep a straight face while writing about El Shaddai.

The Catholic Church has always tried to spread its faith by absorbing beliefs and/or customs of the group it is trying to draw in. This is no different.

Actually it is — without the special creation of man, man is not specifically made in God's own image, and if man is not made in god's image then (a) there is no reason for God to save mankind, and (b) there is no reason not to kill man for little/no reason.

You left something out:

“God is not a divine being or a magician, but the Creator who brought everything to life,” the pope said.
