Here is a great concept and explanation: Marriage was instituted – like all other sacraments – as a way to help you get to heaven. A Catholic husband knows what his job is: to help his wife and children get to heaven. That’s his Prime Directive: He needs to do whatever needs to be done to help his wife and children be holy. Why? Because he loves them, and he wants eternal life for them and himself."

I’m not reading every single thread here, of course, but I’ve never noticed anyone here making that type of blanket statement about women in the Miss USA pageant.

As for whether I’m a man-hater or not, well... I don’t see myself that way. I have all sons (no daughters), and my sons are the light of my life. I have one brother (no sisters), and we get along well. My father and I were very close. So, I don’t see myself as a man-hater.

However, I did make a statement on a previous thread that might’ve offended people: I said that I think most men are looking at porn and passing it around. Does that make me a man-hater? Or just realistic? You tell me.

I don’t know exactly what kinds of pictures you’re viewing. To be perfectly clear, IMHO, it’s perfectly normal for a man to want to look at pictures of women. Whether that’s sinful behavior or not is between you and God.

But, that’s not what this issue is about - at least, not in my opinion.

This issue is about hardcore porn. It leads many men and, obviously, some women, too, to develop all sorts of sick obsessions, engage in reckless behavior, and either cheat on their spouses or never develop a real relationship with anybody.

It’s destroying families.

It’s a poison today, polluting young, vulnerable minds. Many of us are worried about our children, teens - both boys and girls - finding it on the internet.

I cannot speak for anyone else here. I don’t know what their points of view are on this issue. But that’s my opinion on it.
