Praying the rosary would be the same as praying to my passed on grandfather.
Yes he does, and I appreciate it too, however he often goes unanswered, at least publicly, the truth is hard to refute.
The Catechism of 1992 is based much on teaching from Vatican II.
They aren’t trying to bring anyone into the Catholic Church. Nowhere do you ever hear popes, etc telling other faiths that they must be Catholic, that to be untied means they must return to the Catholic Church. Post- Vatican II unity is contrary to Traditional Catholic teaching on unity. False ecumenism reigns.
Don’t understand what you wrote.
Did the Crusades result in countless attacks and murders of Jews?
Tell me no, and I am forced to choose between you don’t know the facts or you are a liar.
Yes, I was there. What an idiotic comment.
Were you at the Civil War? Are you sure it happened?
Then you must be the king of all twits, because your reasoning would back the American Indians blowing up buildings in America, in order to reclaim the land we took from them. It would also condone the thousands of other unlawful seizures of land that have occurred throughout history all over the world.
Almost every single act of aggression is to reclaim land taken. Hey, you agree with Hitler’s world view. He said he was reclaiming German lands a while back. Congrats on following the same thread of logic.
You are an idiot.
Yep! And many of the mainline Protestant organizations will fall in line as well.
It is pathetic that some of you do not understand what the Crusades did to the Jews and how it influenced anti-Semitism going forward.
Whatever its original intent, it evolved into a Jewish bloodbath and turned many a Christian into haters of Jews.
Today we have the Islamic asswipes carrying that same banner.
Christianity has done a great job of righting the wrongs of its past, but its past exists, whether one chooses to believe so or not.

“Then you must be the king of all twits, because your reasoning would back the American Indians blowing up buildings in America, in order to reclaim the land we took from them.”
No, actually it wouldn’t. Your claim is bizarre to say the least.
“It would also condone the thousands of other unlawful seizures of land that have occurred throughout history all over the world.”
Reclaiming what rightfully belongs to your people is not “unlawful seizure”.
“Almost every single act of aggression is to reclaim land taken.”
That’s completely false. There would be no “aggression” if you’re reclaiming what is yours. The aggression is when someone took it from you to begin with.
“Hey, you agree with Hitlers world view.”
No, actually I don’t. I suggest you get help for your problems.
“He said he was reclaiming German lands a while back.”
Actually what he usually claimed was that he was reuniting the German populations with the Fatherland. That propaganda claim was more useful because there were plenty of Germans living in lands never owned by Germany.
“Congrats on following the same thread of logic.”
I don’t think you even know what logic is.
“You are an idiot.”
No, I’m not, but thanks for playing.
Salvation,
I posted this recently on another thread and I feel it is worth reposting. A comment/warning from over 500 years ago that applies to your question:
Two excerpts from Roger Crowleys 1453 book on the fall Constantinople:
May 27th, 1453: Late in the afternoon the people of the city, seeking religious solace, converged for the first time in five months on the mother church of St. Sophia. The dark church which had been so conspicuously boycotted by the Orthodox faithful was filled with people, anxious, penitent, and fervent, and in the first time since the summer of 1064, in the ultimate moment of need, it seems that Catholic and Orthodox worshipped together in the city, and the 400 year old schism and the bitterness of the Crusades were put aside in a final service of intercession.
Pope Pius, Mantua, 1459:
We ourselves allowed Constantinople, the capital of the east, to be conquered by the Turks. And while we sit at home in ease and idleness, the arms of these barbarians are advancing to the Danube and the Sava. In the Eastern imperial city they have massacred the successor of Constantine along with his people, desecrated the temples of the Lord, sullied the noble edifice of Justinian with the hideous cult of Muhammad. They have destroyed the images of the mother of God and other saints, overturned their altars, cast the relics of the martyrs to the swine, killed the priests, dishonored women and young girls, even the virgins dedicated to the Lord, slaughtered the nobles of the city at the sultans banquet, carried off the image of our crucified Saviour to their camp with scorn and mockery amid cries of That is the God of the Christians and befouled it with mud and spittle. All this happened beneath our very eyes, but we lie in a deep sleep
.Mehmer will never lay down arms except in victory or total defeat. Every victory for him a stepping-stone to another, until, after subjecting all the princes of the West, he has destroyed the Gospel of the Christ and imposed the law of his false prophet upon the whole world.
Did you read my post, or are you choosing to ignore the main focus of what I said? Some crusaders carried out acts that WERE NOT CONDONED by the Vatican.
Praying to your passed on grandfather is a meditation on the life of Christ? Cool!
No, they’re both dead people. That’s against God’s word.
I think you missed my point. Let me make it more clear ... the rosary is a meditation on the life of Christ ... not Mary worship.
No idea ... ask her. Perhaps she was trying not to offend non-Catholics by calling them "protestants" ... I don't know.
I think the Muslims will team up with Rome.

isn’t the rosary the hail mary full of grace repetition thing?
You may not worship Mary, but the church does.
This is also why I say many that call themselves catholics, might not actually be catholics, but might be christians instead.
