MISSOURI VALLEY, Iowa The congregation at St. Patricks Church in Missouri Valley, Iowa, said they are angry and disappointed that someone vandalized an anti-abortion sign outside the church. .
A parishioner said part of the church's mission is to publicly share the values of faith.
There's nothing more sacred than life, said parishioner Nicholle Dworak.

But sometime Saturday night, a pro-life sign outside the church was spray-painted. The word abortion was crossed out and the s in kills covered, leaving Kill Gods Children.
It's just kind of scary. It's appalling what they did, said the Rev. Mike Berner.

Why didn't you foresee this and protect or monitor it?
Nobody likes a reminder that they are a murderer.
That’s the simple explanation as to why you see such vehement and violent defense of abortion.

I would put more stock in this being done by bored, ignorant teenagers who thought they were being clever.

I second your idea. When you wave a red flag in front of an angry bull, you shouldn’t be surprised at it charging you.
In fact, this church needs to complement itself because it wanted to be provocative, and by George, it worked. So the important thing is to reinforce the message, but at the same time to secure it, because sure as a gun, the vandals will return.
But first, they need to ask a some questions:
1) If we identify the vandals, what will the local police and judges do about it?
2) Is it possible to sue the vandals in small claims court?
3) If we try to stop the vandals, will they get violent and try to hurt someone?
The ones who did this got the idea from Beavis and Butthead.
