To do 160,000 exorcisms at one per day he would have to be 438 years old
Unless he tossed them out in groups.
The only thing they could possibly offer in defense is that people who practice yoga usually know nothing about Hinduism.
It’s just a human mental construct to answer the ultimate unanswerable question.
Ridiculous.
Of course - yoga improves your health and lengthens your life, extending the time you will spend away from the Kingdom of God. It’s much holier to eat at McDonalds every day and never exercise, so you can go to be with Him sooner. :)
As far as I can tell yoga went from whatever it was all these centuries to the means by which the western media can depict ‘spirituality’ in commercials, TV and movies without indicating anything icky like Jesus or God.
I’m 36 years old and ALL of my friends are into yoga. I avoid it at all costs for this reason.
“False gods of Hinduism.”
Wonder what the Hindus have to say about their god.
Yoga? That’s where you sit down in ways calculated to put you in a wheelchair?
Prefer yoghurt.
While the LSM will take anything Christian and make a mockery of it, it’s articles like this one and the one down thread about whether or not online dating is Biblical that simply gives the media more fodder. I’m more concerned about Christianity and obamacare, homosexuality, etc. than my cobra pose.
I learned about the positive influence of exercise in Military Acadamy 35 years ago. There was no yoga and it was big time christian based.
My liberal friends and clients do yoga. None of my conservative folks do yoga. They either go to a gym and lift weights, ride a bike etc, play in a b-ball league or do nothing. Conservative guys I know wouldn’t be caught dead in a yoga class. Just an observation.
Yoga is not evil nor of the devil.
If people want to believe that, that’s their free choice.
Also, Hinduism is not of the devil.
There is one God, not many. Some people worship Him one way, some slightly differently. Hating those of other religions (not counting Islam, as they want to kill us all) is not a way to serve God.
Silly cults arguing over imaginary friends and enemies.
160,000 “demon” exorcisms? LOL.
Well some words from the Bible come to my mind here...
“Abstain from all appearance of evil”
so I would not do YOGA because if there is doubt then don’t....
My first ex-wife has three yoga places checked as liked on facebook. I believe what you are saying is true.
“ordained way back in 1954, he has cast out some 160,000 demons. I believe that gives Father Gabriele some authority on the devil”
I believe that makes him a whakadoodle.
I remember reading about Zen meditation and how it was normal that at a certain stage very odd and occult seeming things would happen to practitioners. They were instructed to struggle through these. Perhaps, like a Ouija board, the act of deep meditation opens one up to the Evil Channel. I do know, from having been taken by a friend who was into TM (attended their “university” in Switzerland in the 70’s) to a meeting where acolytes were told the next stage would be levitation that the f***ers running that enterprise were palpably evil.

I take Yoga ,and I am a Methodist. Yoga helps to lengthen and strengthen your muscles, and relieves tension in your body. Holding the poses for 90 seconds is a lot harder than you would think. I have taken Step Aerobics, Tai Bo, Tai chi, and now I just do yoga and bike ride and take walks.
Neck exercises and back stretches keep you shoulders from touching your ears.
Yoga keeps you balanced , helps you get out of your beach chair, look over your shoulder when driving, stand on one leg while putting your pants on, and it just makes life better for me. I only wish I had started taking it earlier in life.
I don’t care what you say about Yoga as an exercise, it is something I will not stop doing.
I am not ignorant of Hinduism, do not practice it, and am not afraid of those who do. God is good to me, and he lets me take yoga when I can get to the class.. Praise the Lord!
So, exercise leads to paganism and animism?
