Boko Haram terrorists are believed responsible for the murder of a popular Pentecostal pastor in Nigeria. Faye Pama was the Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria, North East zone.
Stefanos Foundation Director Mark Lipdo said Pastor Faye was killed in Borno state Tuesday afternoon.
"Gunmen climbed his fence and got into his house and shot him down... You know the sect says they are out for Christians. Being in that position and being so vocal, he must have been a very marked man," Lipdo said.
Faye had several college-aged children and one in secondary school. Lipdo asked that Christians pray for the pastors widow and children, and for Nigerian Christians who are living under intense persecution.
GIVE THE CHRISTIANS GUNS
” GIVE THE CHRISTIANS GUNS “
THE CHRISTIANS HAVE THE WHOLE DANG ARMY. This guy was living and preaching in the Muslim corner of the country. Dangerous job.
That’s right; they need protection, and since the gov’t seems unable...
The good guys are getting mass-martyred there, and elsewhere. How long, O Lord, how long?
actually, the mid-belt across Nigeria is a transition zone — neither all muslim nor all Christian; but the muslims are trying to do what they do, which is kill the competition, just as in Punjab, S. Thailand, and in S. Philippines. There is entirely too much cheek-turning, and too much asymmetry.
Of course, you are right, in that this is the most isolated outpost of Christianity in the transition zone, Bauchi, Gombe, Gorno. Dangerous, indeed!
When I read the title I thought, “Whiter Shade of Pale”.
Muslims are killing members of other religions all over the World.
I knew I wouldn’t have the first Procol Harem joke.
And waiting . . . and waiting . . . and waiting . . .
Thanks Cronos.
