Not surprising.
The Cross to lds is like garlic to vampires.

No cross, no Christianity.

Bottom line.

BTW, Jesus and Lucifer were not created brothers. No way.

Why have a cross? Mormons are not Christians in any way. I’d like to sympathize, but since they’ve chosen to follow that embezzling, crooked, sexual pervert called Joseph Smith, Jr., they’ll all find their way to hell.

No sympathy regarding the cross unless they were Christians instead of Mormons.

Mormons under the direction of Brigham Young desecrated the original wooden cross on top of a rock cairn, calling it a “vile object.”

Mormons do not believe in the Trinity. They refer to their buildings as “stakes”, not churches. One will not find a cross on any of their properties. Those who are deemed temple worthy go to the their temples and are baptized for the dead, sometimes as much as 40-50 times a day. Of course, the catholics believe they can pray the dead into heaven, also!

Religion is Christianity's worst enemy.

And, of course, being from Nevada, I want everyone to know HARRY REID IS A MORMON! He is evil!

Shame. Muslims, Moonies, Mormons, Scientologists...all condemned to the same hot place in the end.

“Why have a cross? Mormons are not Christians in any way.”

Because the Mountain Meadow Monument is suppose to commemorate the Christian victims of the massacre, not the Mormon perpetrators. That is why the original cairn had a cross on it (which Brigham Young ordered destroyed).

“No sympathy regarding the cross unless they were Christians instead of Mormons.”

That’s the point. The cross is suppose to commemorate the Christian victims, not the Mormon murderers.

I'm sorry, but I was made to understand that the victims were Mormons that Brigham Young had problems with. I don't remember anywhere reading that they were Christians. If that's the case, then they definitely should have a cross erected somewhere.

Most of the Mountain Meadow victims were baptized Christian (not Mormon) at the time of the massacre. It was only over a century after the massacre that these victims were “proxy baptized” in the Mormon sect by descendants of the original perpetrators. This act was protested by descendants of the Christian victims, as you can read here:

But since their Mormon religion is a complete hoax, who really cares what these proxy baptisms mean. I mean, they could declare all of the victims to be popes, and it wouldn't make a difference. Mormonism is a fraud.

Those would be Morrisites. Google Morrisite Massacre.

The folks on the wagon train that were murdered were Christian. The cross should be for them. And that is what their descendents want.

They were killed by Mormons, the descendents of whom now own the land and have complete control of the site and the remains.

Please read up on the Mountain Meadow Massacre. You’ve got it all wrong.

They were Christians — but I only know that by a friend who is a descendant of one of the few survivors, and who has attended a couple commemorative events there. She has NO love for mormonism.

I agree and think of Mormonism about as much as I think of Scientology or Islam, but guess what? In the general election, the MSM is going to make sure that Jews across this nation know that Mitt Romney's religion continues to try and proxy baptize Holocaust victims. The MSM is going to put Mormonism front and center, and I expect ask Mitt about all of these little things that are hidden quietly away from most people.
