Radio evangelist Harold Camping said in a special broadcast Monday night on his radio program Open Forum that his predicted May 21, 2011 Rapture was an invisible judgment day that he has come to understand as a spiritual, rather than physical event.
We had all of our dates correct, Camping insisted, clarifying that he now understands that Christs May 21 arrival was a spiritual coming ushering in the last five months before the final judgment and destruction.
In an hour and a half broadcast, Camping walked listeners through his numerological timeline, insisting that his teaching has not changed and that the world will still end on October 21, 2011.
It wont be spiritual on October 21st, Camping said, adding, the world is going to be destroyed all together, but it will be very quick.

Well...I wonder what he'll say when October 21st comes and goes? Of course, at 89, he may have faced his own "particular judgment" by that time, but that's another issue altogether.
Cool...won’t have to by the wife a birthday present
Unusual Doctrines (excerpted)
Russell taught his followers the non-existence of hell and the annihilation of unsaved people (a doctrine he picked up from the Adventists), the non-existence of the Trinity (he said only the Father, Jehovah, is God), the identification of Jesus with Michael the Archangel, the reduction of the Holy Spirit from a person to a force, the mortality (not immortality) of the soul, and the return of Jesus in 1914.
When 1914 had come and gone, with no Jesus in sight, Russell modified his teachings and claimed Jesus had, in fact, returned to Earth, but that his return was invisible. His visible return would come later, but still very soon. It would result in the final conflict between God and the Devilthe forces of good and the forces of evilin which God would be victorious. This conflict is known to Witnesses as the battle of Armageddon, and just about everything the Witnesses teach centers around this doctrine.

I thought it sounded familiar.
Ah, the joys of private judgment.
3rd times the charm! lol
Either 3rd time’s a charm, or 3 strikes. I suppose October 21st will tell, won’t it?
What if this guy talked and no one reported on it? Right now I’d say his tax exempt religious scam needs investigation
Somebody needs to get a cane and drag that man off the stage. This is just pathetic.
It sounds to me like we’re on double secret probation!
That's all you need to know about Harold Camping.
Harold Camping does not understand God.
The world will end on the 21st day of the 21st month of the 21st Millenium!
For the biblically challenged: Deuteronomy 18:22 says “when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
samtheman#5, in Radio host who predicted End of Days to speak
His earlier apocalyptic prediction in 1994 also was a bust, but he said it didn't happen because of a mathematical error. This one failed due to a grammatical error. The meaning of the word "is".
When I'm right, I'm right!
It wont be spiritual on October 21st, Camping said, adding, the world is going to be destroyed all together, but it will be very quick.
What about the seven years of tribulation? Did I somhow miss the great earthquake? How did I miss the three witnesses being dead and lying around for three and a half days?
Hopefully...unless this fraud wants to keep straying his flock from the truth and picks another date.
“Yesterday was the end of the world as we know it. It was totally destroyed. From now on everything is different because Jesus came back (only the truly saved can see Him though). And I will now be known as ‘Trixie’.”, Harold Camping on October 22nd 2011
I think Camping should immediately take all his money and assets and give it to charity. He won’t be needing it and it will show just how sincere he really is. The sad part about this is that there will be a large number of people who will continue to believe this foolishness. Don’t they have Bibles? Or, can’t they read?

Does that month have an “r” in it? I need to know in case they have oysters on the menu where I’ll be eating.
I don’t know for sure — only the Father knows! — but I’m guessing Oct. 21st will turn out to be yet another “lack of judgment” day for Camping. Double entendre intended.
