Doritos entry: Feed your Flock by "Feedyourflock"
Pepsi Max entry: Pastor Solves his Problem by "Feedyourflock"
The Pepsi Company is hosting an advertisement contest. The winner of the advertisement contest will air during the Superbowl and a 5 million dollar reward to the person who submits the winning commercial for the 2011 Super Bowl.. Apparently the current front-running commercial is titled “Feed Your Flock,” and it exploits and mocks the practice of receiving Holy Communion. The video can be seen HERE on Facebook, or HERE on the Pepsi website. The video is borderline (if not completely) blasphemous and Catholic Christians everywhere should write to Pepsi to prevent this ad from getting on to the air. The video should not air because it exploits Christ, mocks His Church and His community in the Church, and it will perpetuate harmful misunderstandings of Christian belief. All submissions go under review and six finalists will be selected on 1/3/11 and polled on USA Today Ad Meter.
Please consider signing a petition to have this ad removed from the commercials during the Superbowl.
Only 2 days until the vote. Please consider having the ad removed from the competition by signing the petition.
Could just as well be any of a number of protestant churches.
Let’s hope Christians of all denominations haven’t lost their sense of humor.
They like to push it, don’t they? Remember the commercial with the Host being used as a cracker for dip? They know exactly what they’re doing.
Steve Soetoro Dunhams friend is on board of directors Pepsi-cola.

This is, to me, as bad as the Hyundai ad last year. I signed the petition. I don’t care how “edgy” marketing firms think they can be. If they want “edgy,” let’s see something like the now-banned VW ad from a few years ago, wherein the strength of their car’s interior construction negated a feeble attempt at jihad. THAT was edgy, in light of the current political climate. Marketers need to remember a few things, like the fact that most mockery targeting a large portion of their intended audience will backfire, reduce sales, and cause them to lose contracts. Idiots. (Sorry, I’ll get off the soapbox)
hey what about a “treat your feet” NIKE ad featuring muslim foot baths! same-o!
Looks like a hodgepodge of “church-related” scenes...pretty generic but only medium-funny...magritte
I am not even Roman Catholic, and I was offended!
Giving out doritoes for Holy Communion?
Ungh!
Thanks for posting NYer. Although I am not Catholic, I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ. I went to a Catholic high school and I sent the link to my friends in my graduating class who maintain a robust e-mail list.
My mistake...Hamid WAS on pepsi board of directors. Hamid went to pakistan with dunham...

I think if there wasn’t such a blatant hate of Christians openly voiced with no objection from the tolerant, all inclusive Left, this wouldn’t be a problem. Go on Facebook and note the comments from Theresa Smith Owens. She posts saying that it’s not an insult, but cute, then her next post reveals her true feelings when she posts a one line private message from someone that was offended and proceeds to imply that Christians are homophobes and, of course, rascists. Guess it’s cute to those that love to bash Christians at every chance.
wahid hamid, travelled to pakistan with dunham, was recently on PEPSI board, now on “defense board”...

Imagine the outcry if the ad mocked muslims, or even another religion such as Buddhism or Hinduism.
But Christians, ESPECIALLY Catholics and Evangelicals, are ALWAYS Fair Game.
Wait till BOR get ahold of this.
Well, actually . . . take a look at this:
This is St. Francis de Sales Latin Mass Catholic Church in Mableton GA.
The full impact doesn't hit you until you open the door . . .
"Whoa! What has happened to the Baptists?"
the minute long version is even worse if that is possible.
