Here’s a snippet from Glenn Beck’s radio show 5/27/10 – this one clip should eternally disqualify Glenn Beck as a commentator on religion in the eyes of all informed listeners:

Stu: Well, I heard of them, I don’t really know Glenn: You don’t really know. You have no idea why they were there. Sara average person doesn’t know. Any idea, take a guess on why the Dead Sea Scrolls were there, or anything else. Sara(?): Something religious. Glenn: Okay, good. Even though I’ve explained this on this program a couple of times, I’m glad to see that even the people that work with me don’t even listen. So here’s what happened. When Constantine decided that he was going to cobble together an army, he did the Council of Nicea, right, Pat? Pat: Yea. Glenn: The Council of Nicea, and what they did is brought all of the religious figures together, all the Christians and then they said, “Ok, let’s put together the Apostles’ Creed, let’s you know, you guys do it.” So they brought all their religious scripture together, that’s when the Bible was first bound and everything else. And then they said, “Anybody that disagrees with this is a heretic and off with their head!” Well, that’s what the Dead Sea Scrolls are. The Dead Sea Scrolls are those scriptures that people had at the time that they said, “They are destroying all of this truth.” Whether it’s truth or not is up to the individual, but at that time those people thought that this was something that needed to be preserved and so they rolled up the scrolls and put them in clay pots and they put them in the back of caves where no one could find them. They were hidden scripture because everything was being destroyed that disagreed with the Council of Nicea and Constantine. That’s what those things are.”
Schleitheim has done a hilarious analysis here. Glenn Beck is simply too stupid for words. It is little wonder that Liberty University thought he was a worthy choice to speak at their commencement ceremony.

Again I ask when Beck talks about God what/which god?

Jesus is a creation, the product of relations between god and his goddess wife who used to be people from another world (McConkie, Bruce, Mormon Doctrine, p. 192, 321, 516, 589).
Jesus is the literal spirit brother of the devil and of you and I (McConkie, p. 192, 589).
God has a body of flesh and bones (Doctrine & Covenants 130:22) as does his wife and together they produce spirit offspring in heaven who inhabit human bodies on earth.
President Hinkley, the prophet and revelator of the Mormon church, has publicly declared that the Jesus of Mormonism and traditional Christianity are not the same.
I'd venture to guess that maybe 10% know what the Essene's the DSS's or Qomran even are? Go, away shame on you!

No, because of my profession as a historian (Church History) and my BA in Biblical studies, I know his facts are wrong.
Because of my history with Mormonism, I know his ‘facts’ are typical LDS propaganda.
And his point about re-writing history is very ironic since the LDS church rewrites history worse and more often than actual historians do.
If you are going to make a point, make sure your facts are correct. Historiography 101.
The fact that you think beck SOUNDS like a Christian, supports my view that he is not to be trusted. He is a TBM (True Blue or totally brainwashed Mormon), so if he is intentionally sounding NOT LDS but Christian, then he is intentionally misleading his audience, either that or he really is stupid since he doesn’t know what his own church believes or didn’t bother to research it.

Let me get this straight, the only sane voice crying in the post modern wilderness of cable news wasteland doesn’t know everything! Wow, how novel, a talking head that can’t flawlessly opin over a sole issue of religion.

a) he isn’t the ONLY voice, that is more beck head propaganda
b) He should know basic facts rather than spout the anti-Christian propaganda of his so-called church.
c) More than 10% of the people know what the DSS and NG are. If not they should, and he has a DUTY as a ‘talking’ head to get his facts straight.
d) It shows he doesn’t do his research. If he is THIS sloppy with something so easy to find out, how sloppy is he on other things? Yet people believe everything (or nearly so) that he says. Talk about sheeple.
e) I’ll stick around, thanks, to fight the blind following of a arrogant talk show host who is working on becoming a god of his own planet someday.
Brilliant point.
Don't bother to listen to beck because he plays facts loosy-goosy. Rush prides himself on being as near to 100% factually correct as possible - provides more credability when he makes a statement. If Beck can't take the time to tell the difference in these items, how can his other statements be considered seriously?
And if Rush is wrong he corrects his mistakes.
How long does it take just to ping WIKI to see if you are even CLOSE to being right?

I used to listen to Beck but some time back he began to change. I wonder who does his research/show prep.
I am even more baffled by the rabid support he gets, if you question him - whooa watch out.
