Losing her religion Anne Hathaway left the Catholic Church after her brother opened up about being gay. "The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out," says the actress. "Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?" So what religion is Anne now? "I'm nothing," she admits. "F- it, I'm forming. I'm a work in progress."

Someone decides they’d rather do a guy and the whole family changes religion?

How idiotic.

“Actors. What don’t they know?” Homer Simpson

Geez, I’m quoting a cartoon!

Anne typical actress: Emotional, ignorant and self-absorbed.

I guess she’s never heard of all the reach out programs the Church has for people with AIDS.

I really, really, really must make more of an effort to get out more. The only “Anne Hathaway” I was aware of is William Shakespeare’s wife. So, I was quite confused reading the title...

Sad how people try to apply their rules to God.

"Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?"

Why have a religion at all if you don't want your church to preach and teach? Youc an select a church that just reflects what you already believe and what is convenient for you, but then, why even bother going?

Oh yeah, she doesnt now. That's a surprise!

Two comments she made in the same breath were rather striking:

“..The whole family converted to Episcopalianism...”

What religion is Anne now? “...I’m nothing,” she admits. “F- it, I’m forming...”

That modern, pro-gay Episcopalianism for you - it’s nothing!

She's likely feeling a lot of pressure at the moment. Let us hope that as time goes on she reconsiders this decision.

I think it’s more like thay are applying their views to an organization, ie the church, than to God, isn’t it?
