His words and demeanor were beyond phenomenal! There is a new body in the Black Robe Regiment today.

This is the third or fourth thread where I had to butt heads with freepers who seem to be anti-cop and think we are living in a police state. It seems that besides true patriots who post here, there are also those far-lunatic types. And this is supposed to be a Religious thread. It’s not ok to use a profanity as mild as ‘butt’ but it’s quite all right to bash the Police WHO DID NOTHING WRONG!!??

I’ll be honest with you. I’m not going to read your link and get into a debate here. I have already made up my mind on this subject — long time ago based upon Romans chapter 13. I’m sure you have taken the time to interpret that section of scripture also being this is a religion thread. Anything I say in defense of Pastor Anderson will be fruitless. I support Pastor Anderson.
I will post my reply and this as my defense. Perhaps others who come across this who haven’t made up their mind can choose between your post and mine and come to their own conclusion.

I think it is time to take leglislative action against violators of the constitution or we are going to end up in a war.
It has gone too far just like unpunished and unsolved crime went to far in the 70’s and 80’s. We stopped that with passing leglislation that took power of sentencing out of the hands of the judges and sought the death penality for the worst violators.
We will have to agree to disagree. I am no hater of police. But I will also not tolerate corrupt police like we have right now in the country. There are too many excuses being made for them.

You’re partly right, and I shouldn’t’ve said delusional. I was reacting a bit strongly to your demand to kill cops who were only doing their jobs. (Yes, I know you’ll probably say that was a Nuremberg defense, but we didn’t even kill the Nuremberg defendants!)
What I was referring to was the fact that he did not address the cops until they informed him he was under arrest. It was only the feds he finally responded to. And when they said to come out of the car or they’d remove him from the car, he should’ve known he was in trouble.
Seriously, what you’re advocating isn’t merely killing police because they abused their power. You’re advocating killing them because obeyed the law as passed by democratically elected officials, and upheld by courts. There is a legitimate issue as to whether those checkpoints are constitutional, but once he was stopped, his actions necessitated everything that happened from then on. Whose blood do you want soaking your hands? The local police, who only pulled him over? Or the feds who tased him, after they found him blocking traffic for 20 miles behind him? Which do you want to kill, Sara?
Ironically, your hero is talking about the need to avoid cruel and inhuman punishment, and you want to kill cops. Something doesn’t compute.

You are right. The focus of prosecution and penalities for violating the constitution should come to those in charge; not the cops following unconstitutional orders. After we prosecute elected officials who enact and enforce unconstitutional laws, we can go after corrupt cops with the same serious penalities. Violating the constitution is TREASON. Seeking death penalities for TREASON is not extreme in the body of history and meaning of the US.
At the same time, we must all realize that our police trainers and actors are not all of an “American” culture. We have Mexican police pretending to be Americans in Texas, for example. They act corrupt and violent like their brothers in Mexico and they corrupt American-American cops around them or under them. It is not limited to Texas.
We have a problem, Houston! It is really time to move out of the past and deal with the reality in front of us - case by case.

I appreciate discussing this with you, Dangus. You are honorable and I know your heart is in the right place in what you are saying. I too, worry about the left using an opening to desimate law enforcement in the US with lies as they did in the 70’s and 80’s.
If you are able to support Mr Anderson, you might encourage him to study the doctrine presented in the link provided.

There is nothing that empowers law enforcement at any level assume powers and authority greater than God and to alter that social contract.
The laws of divine establishment provide for national governance to enforce laws against the domestic enemies of criminality. Those who violate the rights of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness of others within the state are legitimately arrested by law enforcement until justice may determine their disposition.
