Condolences to the family. Always a tragedy when the young die.

Oh no! That is so tragic. Greg is a wonderful man of God. Prayers have been sent for God to comfort his loved ones and to give them all strength in the difficult days ahead. My heart aches for them.

Rev. Laurie is well known in SoCal. Until a couple of years ago, he was better known than Rev. Rick Warren.
I put Rev. Laurie more in the old school like Rev. Shuler of Crystal Cathedral—not so much of the modern mega-church hype (even though they have large churches).
Too bad, so sad about losing a son. My brother died at 37 and it tore our family apart, the worst being our parents. It is said losing a child is the worst type of loss. I believe it.

God Bless and Godspeed to Greg Laurie and his whole family (and church family). It’s bad when you outlive your kids. I’ve always admired Pastor Laurie. He’s the real deal.

Deep sympathy to the Laurie family. May the Lord comfort and console them and give them peace.
This is not the first Harvest Fellowship pastor's child to be killed by an auto accident. About a decade ago, a pastor's daughter was crossing Arlington Avenue at the Church after an evening service and was struck and killed by a car.
I have known of a number of pastors in Riverside who have lost a child to a car accident.
Pastors and their families are targeted by the Evil One in this life and need our prayers.

Out souls mourn because we know death is a result of our sin.
We rejoice because Christ took the sins of His sheep onto the cross with him.
May his family and friends find solace in Christ alone.

Thanks for posting this! Greg's radio sermons are very powerful and inspirational. My heart cringes at the thought of this, having watched three co- workers endure the deaths of their children. Without a doubt the Lord will strengthen him and gather hearts of Jesus' servants around. Dr. Dobson's book When God doesn't Make Sense is very helpful for those coping with extreme losses. The love and concern Dr. Dobson has for those who suffer pours from the pages. Greg's sermon's are going to be even more powerful in God's time.
