freema also asks: "I have had a request to contact the USMC Ping List to ask you keep up the heat on the subject of the Haditha Massacre Accusations, as FReepers are investigating every nook and cranny, and to request any new information be directed to FReeper backhoe."

Prayers for the two servicemen who were found dead, and their families and associates.

Special Ongoing Prayer Requests:

Prayer Vigil for the nation and its leaders - please consider joining us in a 24 hour a day prayer vigil to lift up our leaders and pray for our country, especially on the immigration issue, and other pressing matters:

Please pray about the situation with North Korea's missle test.

Please remember to pray for our military.  Between dealing with the enemy overseas, and the enemies of the military at home, they need our prayers and good wishes and support.  Epecially remember those who are being unfairly impacted by the recent press scandal mongering.

Prayers for all those men and women working on wildland fire situations across the country.  On June 18, we passed the 3 million acres burned mark, which is about 2 million acres more than average.

Please pray for all those touched by the earthquake in Java.  Over 4000 people have perished.
(latest internation disaster situation reports are here:   News search is here )

RexFamilia posts about a program to pray for the safety of America:   Every evening at 9:00 pm Eastern Time (8:00 pm Central) (6:00 pm Pacific), give one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, and for peace in the world.

delphinium  is asking for prayers for her and all who work in the pro-life movement.

Please lift up the following in your prayers today:

Prayers for Salvation as she travels in Europe.

Prayers for Rte66 and her situation with her neighbors.

Knitting a Conundrum says: "Ack!  My brain is fried - my follow up appointment to the dr. wasn't until the 26th.  But please do keep me in your prayers.  Lots of  problems with my asthma...I haven't quite learned how to manage it, and I am having more problems with it.  I suspect the chronic sinus, tummy problems and asthma are all interacting.  I am most asking that the Lord lead me in ways that I learn how to handle this so I can still get through and do the things he is leading me to do."

CaPagrl has this request:  "I just found out a few minutes ago that there is a bed available for me in the Labor & Delivery unit and I will (God-willing) be delivering my new son today. However, this pregnancy has been filled with complications and I've had to switch doctors late in the game (literally yesterday) in addition to switching hospitals - instead of our local hospital, we'll be traveling an hour away to a major medical center.

My son is measuring rather large and my local OB refused to let me attempt a natural childbirth because of that fear. Two weeks ago, an ultrasound showed Logan (the baby) measuring 9 lbs., 1 oz. - and I was only 36.4 weeks along! Last Monday, the same technician meausured Logan at 10 lbs. 5 oz. (gulp!). ... Anyway, we went to the medical center yesterday and met with a new OB who ordered an ultrasound - this time, Logan measured at 9 lbs., 10 oz. meaning they would let me try a natural birth!! So, I am thrilled and also terrified - my original OB has told me so many horror stories in his attempt to justify a c-section as the only option that I've been having nightmares all week.

Update from Hi Heels on ZacsMom:

I got a call from ZacsMom's husband Tom this evening. ZM is going into surgery tomorrow to remove stage 3 cancerous growths from her lungs and lymph nodes. Her previous surgery removed a 6cm growth and a portion of one of her lungs. If she is stable after the surgery, they will proceed with chemo and radiation. The growths that tested negative for cancer previously were next to the growths that now test positive at stage 3. She has a great deal of trouble breathing and tires very easily. Tom is also kept busy with his elderly father who took a fall last week and was hospitalized for breaking a bone under his eye. So, Tom is caring for him as well. Please keep this family and ZM especially in your prayers over the next several days. If ZM gave you her mailing address, please be sure to send her a card. If not, FReepmail me and I will have Tom contact you. Thank you for all your prayers for this wonderful lady.

Bigg Red says: " I am happy to report that our most Glorious Lord has listened to the prayers of our Freeper Prayer Warriors, and my mother will be released from the rehab center on Wednesday, June 21, the day before her 94th birthday"
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/1651449/posts?page=5#5

Knitting a Conundrum asks:  Please pray that everything about our move to Boise in the fall goes smoothly...I'm a bit overwhelmed by what needs to be done, and I have a lot of stuff to do and keep getting asthma attacks (related to stress and just the products I need to use to get the jobs done), and we're having some problems with the house we've been renting out and plan to move into.  Hubby is out of town and probably will be out of town a good bit this summer on wildland fire assignments.  I'd really appreciate it.

Ciexyz has a friend who needs prayer: "Prayers requested for Dave, a friend of mine who is back in the hospital with Lyme Disease. This has been going on for over a year, he's been in and out of the hospital numerous times, has had bad reactions to the drugs they've used to try and treat this problem. Your prayers are much appreciated."

Tertiary01 requests: "My step daughter who spent her military duty down in Panama, recently had her half brother murdered by jerks trying to steal his car. She is still inconsolable and could stand your prayers."

Latest from WVNan on LadyX:

Maggie's husband called earlier this evening. Maggie was moved to a rehab center today. He said that she is doing great. Her fighting spirit is back (thank you Lord) and she is chomping at the bit to get started with the rehab. The doctor thinks she will be there for 10-12 days if she continues to progress as she has the last day or so. It could be longer, but not anticipated. Mr.X took her a sqeeze ball to work her left hand and arm and she has some rubber bands that she used to rehab her injured arm when she had the auto wreck several years ago. She has already begun her rehab. Mr.X is excited and thankful for her progress. So gang, it would appear that our prayers have been answered so far. Now we continue to pray for successful rehab and a fast recovery so our Lady can come home.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1637259/posts?page=1441#1441

NavVet asks:  "We lost one of our own a couple days ago. I won't mention a name, because I'm not 100% sure his family has been notified personally. He was lost when his convoy was hit. He was a young man, and a very professional soldier. He was a real inspiration to those that he worked with and he will be missed. For those religious Freepers who desire to do so, Your prayers for this young hero, and his family would be greatly appriciated. "

MissEdie has this update on Clint: " I wanted to update all of you on Clint's condition. His mother and I appreciate all of your prayers, however it is not looking good. His mom just got back from the hospital and the doctors are preparing her for the worst. Clint is not responding to the antibiotic being used to treat his staph infection. On Friday there was a glimmer of hope, his fever had broken. He is on the ventilator and it is doing all of his breathing for him. Freepers please pray hard for him, Clint is only 14 years old, and he has been in the hospital battling pneumonia. Please continue to pray for him and his mother! She is very frightened, and so am I."

Update from Sally's Concerns on her sister Alexis the Bengal Kitty:  "She's had the pre-cancerous lump removed from her breast and we should have the pathology report later today (Monday, the 12th), she's had another ultrasound for the tumour on her ovary and it hasn't grown since the last one 2 months ago and finally, she had more blood work done and the blood test which tests for the ovarian cancer marker came back as normal. While it's too early to start celebrating it's not ovarian cancer, I'm still extremely grateful to all of the wonderful FReepers for their prayers for both of us.

Please remember Howlin  whose mother has passed away.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1646608/posts?page=1

Army MP Retired updates us on his wife.
" Update on my Anita. Friends, yesterday we received bad news in that the cancer is in fact invasive and it was not contained only to the tumor that was removed last week. She must now have a complete mastectomy. That will happen next Thursday, followed by extensive chemotherapy. Pathology will then determine the likelihood the cancer has spread elsewhere and dictate what further testing is necessary.  We continue to be grateful for our many blessings and for your prayers."

Mrs. Liberty is asking:  "Would you please add my friend "Mike C" to your list? He is suffering from Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. In 1998, he was given three years to live, but has survived thus far. Unfortunately, he cannot have a heart/lung transplant--does not qualify. His health has been up and down over the years. He felt well enough to visit family and friends in Florida a few weeks back, but has told me that he is recently experiencing breathing problems. He is afraid, and I am, for him. He is a dear, dear friend who gives his big heart to everyone.."

from unionblue83  Baby Kendall had open-heart surgery to correct what is known as PDA after birth. The surgery was scheduled for this past Tuesday and went forward on schedule. Due to some complications (heart spasms), they had to leave the chest "open"; they did not close the incision completely until yesterday. Obviously, infection is a big concern now and she is not completely out of the woods, so to speak. Thank you for all of your prayers and support

A friend of mine is dealing with a potentially threatening situation and would like to be lifted up in prayer. Sally'sConcerns posts: "Update: I'll be having surgery on June 28th on 2 different locations on my digestive tract. I'll be in the hospital for a minimum of 7 days. The additional testing I've undergone shows the initial surgery to correct the perforated ulcer was done incorrectly, part of the initial ulcer is still there and there is extensive scar tissue which shouldn't be there. I have precancerous lesions in my esophagus which will not be cured by surgery so I'll have to be monitored every 3 months by having a camera inserted down my esophagus and stomach. They will remove 60% of my stomach which will leave me open to hypoglycemia. Also, I'll have a feeding tube inserted during surgery which will remain until my physician is satisfied my stomach is capable of handling regular food. The feeding tube is required as I'm already somewhat underweight and they feel I need additional nutrition. The feeding tube will remain in my stomach even after I'm released from the hospital.

My sister has undergone more testing and while a definitive diagnosis for ovarian cancer hasn't been made, she has been referred to an oncologist-gynecologist. She does undergo surgery on June 6th to remove a precancerous tumor in her breast. If I'm able to access my computer I'll keep everyone updated on my sister. Thanks to everyone for keeping us in your prayers.

TOPICS: Prayer
KEYWORDS: pray; prayer; prayerrequest; prayers
As he went ashore he saw a great throng; and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick

Matthew 14:14

Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects. James 5:16

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for thou art my praise. Jeremiah 17:14

O LORD my God, I cried to thee for help, and thou hast healed me. O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol, restored me to life from among those gone down to the Pit. Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name. For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Psalm 30: 2-5

Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress; he sent forth his word, and healed them, and delivered them from destruction. Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to the sons of men!

Psalm 107: 19-21

Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent?

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Matthew 7:7-11

mariabush asks: one of our freepers (pepperdog) is going to have catarac surgery tomorrow morning.

Ordinarily, this is a simple procedure, but she only has one eye, and that is the one with the catarac.

This is a very special SIL and I would appreciate your prayers.

Thanks, Maria
