It returned two years ago as bone cancer that was found when her arm snapped at the gym. She has been sick for a year with the new Chemo and radiation. This week the doctors found a brain tumor and now she is headed for the emergency room and it appears her leg has broken. She is a fine Texas lady and has raised a step son and two of her own children, all to adulthood. "

Mercifully, after a little more then a day removed from complete life support the Lord called my Uncle John home about 10:30 this morning...it was a sad situation which was tough to accept happened...he was a great guy and generous man.
He and my aunt, who had five kids, brought a young couple with two tiny children from Cambodia into their home about 23 years ago....the "boat people" stayed with them for almost a year and are now living the American dream for themselves.
Thanks again to everybody...

For my cousin John who had a stroke and has drifted off into a coma. He is 87 and his wife passed on this past fall.

Please pray for Bigg Red's mother Marie, who has broken her hip.
My mother Marie will be 94 next month, and she has been a faithful Catholic all of her life. She fell and fractured her hip, and, as I post this, she is currently in the hospital awaiting the surgeon's decision on whether he will operate tonight or tomorrow.
Fortunately, her heart and lungs are in good shape, so she is a good candidate for surgery, but she has senile dementia. The source of concern for our family, based on what her primary care physician has said, is that she may not go through rehab well enough to go back home. As I am sure everyone knows, often elderly people go downhill fast after this sort of injury.
Please pray for this dear lady. She raised 9 children, and she has 28 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Please remember my grandma Joy in your prayers, FRiends. She fell Saturday night, hurt her ankle, ribs and bottom, but luckily she didn't injure her back or her hip. She's 85, has lupus, gout, fibromyligia, and a few related syndromes, and is a tough old cookie, but she hurts bad.

She already suffers from dementia but this is something new. We almost lost her during Hurrican Rita when she fell and broke her arm during her displacement ordeal. At the moment my sister is with my mom at the hospital and x-rays are being taken. I am about 750 miles away on the opposite corner of Texas. All I can do is to pray and request your prayers as well. I apologize that I do not have more information but I am awaiting further information from my sister this evening.
