The body of my son Vincent died today. His soul like a small child was taken into the arms of Christ Jesus the Lord.
At the time of the death of his body our friend the Maronite priest was present and we all witnessed a great shining from within him. I held him as he breathed his last breath in this world, and I trust Our Lord Jesut Christ held him as he breathed his first breath in that land where there is no crying or grief but life everlasting.
I thank all of you for your prayers. I beg your forgiveness if I have been less than Christian with you in these last days. I ask that you praise the Living Lord for my son Vince who was a saint among men, who suffered at the hands of a man who is now a Cardinal of the Catholic Church, but who always kept his eyes on Christ the Lord, the reason for the hope that was within him.
My last word is that I miss my father, and I feel that I am going to break into a million pieces. Please pray for me. My grief is a wide as the sea.
I will not be back to FreeRepublic for a great while.

Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof.

Your Da and your Vince are in the presence of God. May the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and Mary your heavenly mother comfort you in your grief.
What more can we possibly say.

Siobhan, my prayers going up for you and your family. I am so sorry to hear of the losses you have suffered. Just remember that your son and your father are reunited in heaven and are now helping to prepare a place for all of their loved ones. You will see them both again.
