I thank you all for your prayers, and I ask forgiveness from one and all for failing to be the kind of Christian I should have been. Please ask the Lord of Life to open wide his arms of mercy to my son as well as to me.

I will not be back to FreeRepublic for a great while.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.

Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks for the truth of Your Word ...

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?' She said to him, 'Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, he who is coming into the world.'" John 11:25-27

Comfort the broken heart of this dear Father, O God, for his son will be gone from his sight. Walk with him through the darkness of the coming days, for deep is his grief, yet we do not grieve as those who have no hope. This parting is but for a moment, but eternal reunion and joy is forever. Blessed be Your Name forever, Amen ...

Dear Siobhan,

You have suffered much since first we met here on FR. You have always been in my daily prayers.

This newest tragedy comes as a great blow. I did not know your son was ill.

He is with your dear Dad now. His struggles in this life are over.

May your father and your son look down from the heavenly heights and pray for all of us who are still muddling through on our way home.

May God soothe you and heal you, may Mary hold you close beneath her mantle, may all your other children gather round to console you.

Love,

Palladin

I held him as he breathed his last breath in this world, and I trust Our Lord Jesus Christ held him as he breathed his first breath in that land where there is no crying or grief but life everlasting.

Siobhan, your words are as beautiful as the image of the Pieta, and the most special love that it represents.  You have given your dear boy back to Our Lord.  May God bless you Siobhan, and your family, as you grieve, and cope with this very difficult Goodbye, for now.
     Fondly and prayerfully, GSS.

I am so very sorry for your loss. No child should die before his parents. I am moved by your understanding that you share most specially in the life of God. May His peace and grace be with you and yours in your time of sorrow.
