They Cooked their own “Golden” Goose!

When Grey Davis took over the office of California governor 5 years ago there was a $10,000,000 surplus in the state treasury! Last night in his concession speech Davis conceded that he had “ inherited many problems and responsibilities”.

For “a fox guarding the chicken house” 10 million dollars was too great a temptation for the liberals in his administration. With typical liberal aplomb they forgot to whom the money really belonged and used it and an additional $38,000,000 to assure themselves a continued control of the governorship by pandering to special interest groups and minorities including even (illegal aliens) and pushed a wide spectrum of unpopular, spendthrift, liberal programs. Finding himself boxed into a corner he backed tripling the vehicle tax in this state, a move that backfired faster than any of his previous errors.

Despite Grey Davis’s concession many blame the Bush Administration for the economic crisis in the California and the United States. Terry McAuliffe, Democratic National Committee chairman, last night (Foxnews) spun the responsibility away from Grey Davis irresponsible spending, blaming the Bush Administration saying that 49 of 50 U.S. states are in economic disarray. That is the new mantra of the Democratic Party. Interestingly enough California’s problems began 5 years ago before the Bush Administration was in office.

The voters that supported the Recall Election last night (72%) saw through this charade and sent Davis packing. It is evident that at least 44% of those supporting the Recall were Democrats fed up with Davis’ incompetence and demanding fiscal responsibility.

The liberal Democrats had the Golden Goose, unfortunately in their zeal for spending, pandering and pushing an unpopular agenda they cooked it! It couldn’t have come at a better time. All of the needed ingredients for ridding the state of these bandits were at hand.

Billion.

Billion dollar deficit.

(Were it only 38 million, they could pay for from the graft in union extortion (er, dues) alone.)

Arnold will inherit almost as much chaos as George Bush has.
Why do Republicans always have to do the work, only to have the Democrats lay back on their oversized rumps and steal milk from the public teet?

Oh, you haven't seen Bustamoney's briefcase every time he returns from the Indian reservations?

This is really, really bad for the Dims. Losing the biggest state in the Union, a Blue state, by a landslide despite a large registration advantage. This is a really bad way for them to enter a presidential election cycle. No good way to spin it.
