[history]
The Schwarzenegger campaign was circulating poll numbers Sunday from the California Correctional Peace Officers Association that showed the recall still winning big and Arnold far ahead in the replacement race. According to the campaign, the recall was leading 57-37 in the last four nights of the tracking poll, from Wednesday through Saturday. Schwarzenegger was leading the replacement race with 36 percent, followed by Bustamante at 21 and McClintock at 17.

But those numbers didn't tell the whole story. A source outside the campaign who is familiar with that poll tells me that the daily splits are more revealing. According to this source, support for the recall slipped each night, from 63-30 on Wednesday to 54-41 on Saturday. It ain't over... all polls are showing the same trend. It may be close. Real close.

Sorry to go off topic but FOX just showed a clip of Eunice Shriver campaigning for Arnold. UUUGGH!!! She looks like that 2000 year old mummy Clinton wanted to date!
Sorry, I know it's mean and juvenile to remark on someone's looks like that, but geez...

This is the usual tightening. They're figuring in the vote fraud.

On a more serious note, I hope that Tom's supporters take a hard look at these numbers and turn out tomorrow to vote for Arnold. Tom's the better man, but with the complete capitulation of the CA. GOP and the poll numbers as they are, voting for him would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Look again at the poll numbers. It looks like a few more votes for McClintock would not hurt Arnold but might put Bustamente in third place.
Schwarzenegger 36
Bustamante 21
McClintock 17
Cutting Swazrenegger's margin would force him to court conservatives while making Bustamente come in third would really humiliate the DemocRATS.

After all the heated debates and flame wars of the last two months, Tom McClintok, the only conservative of the top three candidates, might actually overtake Cruz Bustamonte in the end and finish second to Arnie. LOL
Now, if people could have just said, I'm voting for McClintock in the beginning, he might have been the winner in the end. Instead, they engaged in endless rhetoric that was nothing more, then a self fullfilling prophesy... McClintock can't win. Truly pathetic!

We can only post that a vote for Tom is a vote for Bustamante on here, or McClintock will come in 2nd and their whole Triangulation Theory of Selling Out will be torn to shreads...and they need us BIG TIME for the coming fight of the GOP getting all the blame when (R)nold fails to arrest the spending...
Tom needs to drop out, for the good of the (R)nold Groupies...

Yeah I'm a little concerned about this too. But what worries me even more is that if Davis stays in office and defeats the recall it will only appear to be a mandate for his policy of destruction.
Another thing that is bad is that the press will feel no need to investigate the flurry of lies that have been lobbed at Arnold Schwarzenegger. Pretty much allowing the media a free pass on this issue until the next election in which they'll just try to bury the Republican candidate with mud yet once again.

"Cutting Swazrenegger's margin would force him to court conservatives while making Bustamente come in third would really humiliate the DemocRATS"That's not a very bright comment. Cutting Arnold's margin will only succeed in facilitating a recount after recount after recount. Is that what you want?!
Do you think that votes are going to magically shift from the bustamante column to the McClintock column?! NO!!!! Your asking people to siphon votes from Arnold in a close race?!
Some people in here can be really, really dense sometimes.

Tom needs to drop out, for the good of the (R)nold Groupies... It's too late to drop out. Besides, very few of us will vote for him for any other office in the future anyway.

It may be a long night tomorrow... I don't think Arnold helped himself last night with the Jennings interview. Did you see it?
Everyone screeching about Arnold vs McClintock are repeating last month's war. It is now Arnold vs Davis. With all of the sliming, people could decide "better the devil you know"..

Some people in here can be really, really dense sometimes. I think not. Swarzenegger doesn't deserve a large margin of victory given his disdain for conservative Republicans. Even so a shift of five percent points from Swarzenegger to McClintock would still give Swarzenegger a comfortable nine point margin of victory and make Bustamente come in third.
Schwarzenegger 31
McClintock 22
Bustamante 21

But but...he's got an (R) in his name, and you people have NO principles...what, does he HAVE to be a liberal Republican to get the (R)nold Groupie vote these days?
I'm sure he'll be fine without your bile, besides, if (R)nold wins you will be VERY VERY busy putting out all those fires every day to even care.
Sucks to be you!

No I missed the Jennings interview. I've only heard excerpts about it. I find it very funny that the Democrats have been claiming that Arnold has been avoiding discussion over the "issues" for weeks.
But now that the polls show that they're clearly going to lose. They're no longer interested in the issues. They're only interested in diverting the attention away from the issues and onto baseless slimey accussations.
I guess if you can't win one way. You'll just have to try another.
