The Democrats are seeking to thwart the electoral process through the Courts. This fact will not be lost on Califorians in the center of the electorate.

The Dems had already lost a lot of them by giving drivers' licenses to Illegal Aliens. They can only lose more with this stunt.

Oh, to hell with it all. I'm going to just hope the big one hits soon. Red California is not worth all this.

Have these poor, helpless minorities EVER voted using any OTHER system than punchcards? I haven't in my entire life of voting, but then again I have pale, glowing fingers, apparently enabling me to punch the chads with ease.

This delay will insure the Davis recall, and the defeat of Bustamante.

Not so fast there, buckaroo... The delay moves the election to March... the same date as the Democratic Primary in California. With no Republican running against Bush, and a wide-open Democrat field, the Democrat turn-out vis-a-vis the Republicans will be huge!!!!

These people have no shame.

The democrat party leadership knows full well that if they lose their deathgrip on the courts, thier liberalization/societal engineering cancer will wither and die. To the democrats, keeping the court system sickly liberal means life or death of their socialist ideology. Until there is a 61 Pubby majority in the U.S. Senate, the democrats will continue to obstruct conservative changes and mutate this nation's health. The democrat party is killing the Republic.

The 9th Circuit is the MOST reversed appeals court in the nation.....what that means is they make the dumbest rulings and USSC......slaps them down each time.

Expect to see me reverse my position slightly.

There's going to be a six-month or longer delay in this vote, McClintock's lucky break.

This is the time for him to seize the day, and gain strenght.

>>If the election is put off until March 2004, the Democrats will defeat the recall effort.

So what you are saying is that if the electorate has time to give serious consideration to the recall, then it will behave more rationally?

At least SCOTUS is already in session, having started early in order to hear the CFR case last week, so that won't have to come from the four corners of the earth to hear the appeal.

Why is this an issue now?

This system has been in place for years.

Consistent with Al Gore moving the presidential election into the courts in his attempt to steal the election, the recall will probably be decided by those marvelous California judges, who have already voiced their disapproval of democracy in striking down California's initiatives that don't comport with with good, liberal dogma...

unite a fractious GOP than a common contempt for the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals

That may be the silver lining in this fiasco! Wake up America - this is why Bush can't get his judicial nominees through the Senate as well!!!

Let's boil this down to one simple, offensive concept.

A court has stopped an election.

I know they are the most reversed court in the nation. Not so sure about USSC entering the fray.

IF USSC enters the fray, it will probably be after the illegals get their licenses and the ability to vote.
