Larry believes that while he may be the American poster boy for sleaze; he openly portrays himself as a “smut peddler,” Californians will overlook his penchant for pornography. WorldNet Daily reports Larry as saying, ‘“California is the most progressive state in the union,’ Flynt told the Los Angeles Times. ‘I don't think anyone here will have a problem with a smut peddler as governor.’”

Maybe I'm uninformed, but I didn't know that Flynt even lived in California. I assumed that a candidate must be a resident of the state to run for Governor.

I don't think anyone here will have a problem with a smut peddler as governor. Well, we got 1.7 million signatures to get rid of the current smut peddler governor....so I daresay there would be a problem with another one.

Where did you think Flynt lived? His magazine is prominently based on Wilshire Blvd. in L.A., and I've seen him around town in his gold-encrusted wheelchair (most recently at the UCLA Book Faire) so assume he lives here.
I can't stand the guy, but he's a better businessman than Gay (oops) GREY Davis.

I think a lot of people said that concerning Bill Clinton vs Bush I.
Don't get me wrong, I'd never vote for him. He has at least built a profitable business, while Davis has managed to bankrupt an entire state. I was being sarcastic though.
