...and the man with the ponytail and Birkenstocks will take your next call...

Tell me Jonathan, what does FreeRepublic mean to you from a cultural and ideological perspective....can you imagine a world without FreeRepublic bringing you the finest in programming?

No, Chauncy, this would be a poorer world without FreeRepublic...think of the imported news we would miss if we had only the common fare of the networks to rely on for our social and cultural infomation. And we wouldnt have the wonderful coffeemugs

That's right Jonathan, no FreeRepublic coffemugs. I mean what says more abaout you at the coffee machine than a FreeRepublic coffemug? People will be impressed with your taste and support of our fine cause and they also will know that you have dontated to a worthy cultural entitny.

But Chauncy, dont forget the FreeRepublic tote bag. The perfect carryall for your summer reading. You can bring Coulter's newest hit to the beach and everyone will know you have taste and are a cut above.

Do I hear the phones ringing, Jonathan? My goodness folks, our phonebank is overwhelmed with calls from all around the country... $100, $25, $400... this is too exciting!!!

I was lonely. What did you get for Canada?

Just enough to pay my tolls on the Garden State Parkway for a year.

Considering that I use the NJ Turnpike......I think I let it go cheap.

$100. from Kentucky folks!! This human being deserves the best programming FreeRepublic can offer. Of course that's nowhere near enough for a spiffy FreeRepublic Coffeemug.

Notice that FreeRepublic is one word and so is the Coffeemug. Little marketing gimmick here.

We need to do these fundraisers quarterly folks, in order to bring you the best in FreeRepublic programming. We will, if necessary, to get the funding we need, shoot the dog. Yes, shoot the dog, so his little life is in your hands. Whip out those checkbooks, people.

Back to you, Jonathan.
