WMAL Reports Chief Moose RESIGNS

As a Montgomery County resident, I for one am delighted.

If Linda Franklin -- the FBI analyst the snipers killed in Virginia -- was working on the sniper investigation, as I believe she was, then I think it is far more likely than not that her death was not a mere coincidence: she was killed because she was part of the investigation, perhaps because some insider had tipped the snipers off about her, perhaps because the snipers wanted to make some point, to Moose or somebody else. But whatever the truth is, the explanation is likely to involve Moose somehow.

If Moose was on TV saying nothing, that meant that somebody else was not on TV saying something. He may have intended to prevent precisely that.

People resign all the time BUT, under the circumstances, I'd say it was a forced resignation. He was a token for that area to start with and was sworn in with true "color blind" pomp and circumstance.

I wonder how many law suits have been filed because of Moose and his "lousey" leadership. He is what he is...a racist.

Maybe, I think he was just an egomaniac trying to get his 15 minutes for fame over and over.

I've always assumed Moose messed up the sniper investigation just because he's a racist, but I don't feel able to dismiss cake_crumb's suggestion that he might have had personal reasons. Muhammad in Tacoma could have known Moose in Portland.

IMHO Chief Moose always impressed me as an absolute dolt from day one.

To make matters worse and plain and simple, Moose is now callously profiteering from the blood of those whom he might have saved though his own (in)actions.

The man is absolutely despicable.

Head should have rolled immediately when it was determined an eyewitness gave information as to the ethnicity of the shooters. We can bet if they'd been white, the descriptions would have been released. We've gotten so PC we're willing to risk lives as a result.

When I left this afternoon and was driving, I heard County Exec Doug Duncan's press conference defending Chief Moose -- what a great job Moose'd done and all the typical phrases and language I associate with coverup. If what I've read at WND is even half true, everything Duncan said is an outright lie and he knows it.

You both have interesting theories. I bet Paul Sperry is still on the case. I know he reads FR because I saw him at the Count the White House Silverware Party. I'm hoping he stays with the story since Sperry's appeared to have gained the trust of the the rank and file who aren't finished telling their stories yet.

Is this because he is in trouble for surpressing evidence that the killers were both muslims and black muslims, possibly followers of farrakahn?

Exactly Outrageous, if true. From Sperry's account:

Some Montgomery county police officers charge that Moose was reluctant to release the suspects' race throughout the manhunt, because he had agreed with the Justice Department to end racial profiling in the county in 2000. Moose, who has blamed "systemic racism" for what he calls an "overrepresentation" of blacks on death row, also ended racial profiling in Portland, Ore., when he served as that city's police chief.

"Moose didn't want his officers stopping every black in Montgomery County," said one officer who worked on the investigation. "Of course, it was OK to stop every white in a white box truck."

The officer, who wished to remain nameless, says he knows that Moose personally was aware of the descriptions of Muhammad and Malvo as early as Oct. 21, the day before they took their last victim, a bus driver in Aspen Hill.

Another phony "man of the people" hero of the liberal media has been outed as a complete joke.

I believe the press made him out to be a man of the people.

I also think that the info that he withheld was withheld on a higher order than his own.

This is just my opinion though.

I'm sure there is "loads of info" that we don't know and will never know. Yes, I think there is a cover-up in here somewhere and it's connected with some big Dems who put this guy "in charge".

My wheels started spinning when I found out that he remained the lead in this investigation. I consider all the areas around DC as National Security Areas.

I hope he winds up in jail if he indeed held back ANY info that would have got the creeps earlier (And we know he held back some of the info).

So were some of the messages to Moose in a code that Moose could be expected to understand? It occurs to me that "duck in a noose" rhymes with "Moose" (as does "goose").
