The Feds should just withold highway funds from any State that allows ballot initiatives. Throw in candidates who don't toe the Federal line.

"including a ballot contest in Nevada that if it had passed, would have made possession of less than three ounces of marijuana a misdemeanor charge."WRONG! Question 9 dealt with the legalization of marijuana. Portion of the text of the November 2002 Nevada ballot initiative supported by Nevadans for Responsible Law Enforcement:
"2. The use or possession of three ounces or less of marijuana by a person who has attained the age of 21 years is not cause for arrest, civil or criminal penalty, or seizure or forfeiture of assets."

Well gee Wolfie baby, that sounds like a grand idea. I mean forget the Constitution, forget the delegation of powers to the states, forget the 9th and 10th ammendments and just use the power in Washington to make states follow whatever little law our masters in Washington (this year) feel is real important.
I'm sure once this magic lever is well understood our next President, Hillary, will find lots of excellent ways to use it. Running ads against gun ownership, fining states with shall issue CCW laws, defunding medical programs of states that attempt to mildly curtail abortion on demand, and lots of other fun stuff.
To: Jack Black
Yep, that's the way it'll go. Thanks to the Republicans.

The GOPbots think like the flies of a summer---smashing limits on federal power as if neither the White House, Senate, or House will ever be in Dem hands again.
