As of today, there have been 39 cases of SARS in the United States. There have been no deaths yet from the respiratory disease. In Asia, the death toll is 235 and people are fleeing Beijing.

It is amazing to watch the panic that has developed. A doctor in England today said that it could be worse than AIDS.

But in this country, please keep things in perspective. Even if you do not count a Miss America winner and a woman during his first term of governor, Bill Clinton has raped more women than Americans have died of SARS.

Just as the leftists secretly hoped the war would go badly (well, Ellen Ratner and a Salon creep admitted it), the RATS want to see this disease cause panic and hurt the economy. They will talk it up in order to increase the damage to the economy. They want to see the airline industry collapse. They really do want the economy to tank because they think it is their way back to power.

They are RATS first and Americans second. Never forget that.

You obviously have no clue as to what SARS is all about. This disease has the potential to kill millions of people...if it is not contained.

Living in Toronto...I can tell you it is serious. Over 200 cases...all can be linked back to one person.

If this thing is not contained...it will be worse than AIDS in number of deaths.

Better hope that the "HYPE" helps get the word out...and helps contain this disease.

I hope we've put a lot of thought into it. I don't know that anyone has suggested that SARS was created in a lab, but we can see what something without a vaccine is capable of doing. Indeed, perhaps the biological weapon is the greatest threat we face from terrorists.
