I don't understand how this could be called a birth, because the baby is dead by the time it happens. Maybe it should be called a spontaneous expulsion or something, but not a birth. Maybe a postmortem miscarriage, but that's even confusing.

I debated whether to post this, I did a search and nothing came up. It just struck me as fascinating, never having heard this term, "coffin birth" before. One has to wonder how the two got separated.

I noticed the camera hogging Kali AG tonight kept referring to the unborn baby as a fetus.

Not so the Modesto police chief....Baby Conner was the name he used.

I was glad to see that...and the 2 counts...with special circumstance.

I have not followed this case like most of ya'll.

Do folks here think he planned her murder?

Or did he kill her in a rage over the affair etc. and then played coverup?

Or is he innocent?...just to be objective....I think I know no one here thinks that's the case.

On another note, I've heard many pundits on TV speculating on her cause of death. What, I thought, decapitation isn't fatal?

I agree with you, the "fetus" is not! He was a baby no doubt and should be referred to as Connor, the name Laci chose for her son!

I am in the dark completely about how and more importantly why this had to happen at all. I heard from another FReeper that Laci had a very bad temper and perhaps confronted Scott, that lying, cheating SOB with his affair, and what happened after that no one knows!

Only Scott does and will he have the b@lls to do another Diane interview and come clean? He owes that to Laci's family, his own family and the world!
