The only disgrace is to him, ArcLight. If this is true, regardless of his race, he will have proven that he is not an honorable American soldier, but a disgrace to his country, outfit and mankind--the civilized branch of mankind, not the branch that admires Osama, Saddamn and their ilk.

If anything, this soldiers treachery will totally disgrace any and all Muslims, be they black, white or whatever, who are currently serving in the military. Muslim soldiers will be watched closely after this, I guarantee it. Sad. And evil.

Arclight, you are one of us! The disgrace is to him alone, and those who agree with him! At my work, there are several who are veterans, who are black, whom I would trust with my LIFE. Good conservatives who love this country more than they do themselves. This should NOT be a blight on Blacks, or anyone but himself and those who agree with him.

ArcLight not a disgrace for our people. Americans are not that short-sighted. This is a lone stupid individual that should be tried in a General Court Martial so he can be given the death penalty. There are thousands of black troopers in the military that have served and continue to serve with distinction.

Not so!! It's not the physical characteristics, it is the mentality. Muslims are only one of many groups bent on destroying America.

My husband is from Mexico, and he has been a proud citizen for over 15 years. We have many "discussions" with friends regarding what it means to be American. And we always tell them it has nothing to do with birth. It is a culture, and a history. It is a mentality.

We are the only place on earth where anyone from anywhere can become an American. All it takes is a dream. While everywhere else is tied to "birthright", we offer the key to open the door and let them out, if they want it. If they don't, they are like the elephants who can be tied with a piece of string and never attempt to escape.

He had the key in his hand, and choose not to use it. Like Saddam, he chose unwisely.

So please do not allow anyone, inlcuding yourself to feel guilt over his "birthright". I certainly don't.
