I checked to see if anyone else had posted anything about this. Seeing nothing I jumped into the breach.

posted the phone numbers and home addresses of the Florida Supremes for the expressed purpose of harassment and/or "whatever". I don't think this ever happened, or I would have called and goofed on those idiots.
He also said Free Republic was repsonsible for the flood of Republican activists who descended on the state and therefore was responsible for the Bush presidency.
True. And we're a better country for it.

Alterman is just trolling for some freepers to review his
collection of lies over at Amazon.

Hmmm... Maybe the Democrats can't stay at a liberal site for long cause they get dizzy. Too much spin ;-)

I first saw the power of Free Republic the night CNN was going to allow active Presidential candidate Algore substitute for Larry King. When I called CNN to express my displeasure, you could hear the exasperation in the person's voice. Like he had answered several hundred phone calls.
While the RNC sent out the initial request, Free Republic was like an amplifier.
According to the liberals, when 65,000 people march in San Franciso against President Bush, it is "democracy in action", and the "will of the people". When 1,000 people call CNN, it is a "right wing conspiracy". When 10,000 people protest the election in Florida, it is "frightning".

nother fact he flung at his tiny, badly-dressed book store audience, was that people came to Free Republic and stayed for 5+ hours, making us an unbeatable force since Liberals suffer from ADD and can't stay with anything longer than the average bowel movement. All I know...is that since becoming a Freeper..I've been relatively Metamucil free.

The source of his tirade seemed to be his book which might be worth checking out. Just figure out how to do it without actually paying money for it.You can be pretty sure every lefty butch librarian in the country has made sure your tax dollars went to buy at least one copy. And you can be equally sure nobody else in town is rushing over there to check it out.
To: Deb
Freepers took to the streets all over this country thereby breaking the monopoly of the lefties, the filthies and the commies.
I only hope it keeps Alterman awake at night.

The SoreLoserman signs had a lot to do with swaying public opinion and making Gore look like the sorry little putz that he is which I believe emboldened the Bush team to stay in the fight, so Alterman has it at least partly right.

He also said Free Republic was repsonsible for the flood of Republican activists who descended on the state and therefore was responsible for the Bush presidency. Yeah right! Good on us, assuming we did!

Since the man apparently reads Free Republic or knows about it he may have heard about
This Thread
and may have been ticked that we are everywhere and we are listening and we publish what we hear without a snotty liberal editor to spike our stories. ;-)

Thanks for posting that! You're very funny.
To: Deb
He got so use to the "I feel your pain" administration, he is now in shock and really needs help.
Doesn't he paint a pretty, bright, intelligent picture of the democrat base?
New word for this "ALTERMANISM". State of mind for present day democrats.
To: Deb
He also said Free Republic was repsonsible for the flood of Republican activists who descended on the state and therefore was responsible for the Bush presidency. Then I say GOOD SHOW! Freepers.
To: Deb
Going by the FL Supreme Court rulings, it doesn't sound like there was much "whatever". IF that info was ever posted.
