Saving Governor Ryan from the shame and castigation he so richly deserves would just not be right. Today, as the worst governor in Illinois history leaves office--ethical scandals, corruption, failure to execute justice on all convicted murderers--let's give Loathsome George an appropriate send-off.
Take your pic and caption it.

I can't wait to ask my friend in Decatur how far this senile old man has set back the Republican party there.
To: tubebender
You don't have to ask your friend, I can tell you personally. Lyin' Ryan has killed the GOP in Illinois for many years to come.

I can tell you: this vile, evil man has utterly destroyed the Illinois Republican party. The only one left who has any balls at all to stand up to the corruption is our senator Peter Fitzgerald, and he's being targetted by infighting members of his own party. As our new Chicago mob boss...er, I meant governor..is sworn in today, I see absolutely no hope of any comeback for the party in this state for many years to come. Congratulations, Corrupt King George, Illinois has become the California of the plains.

Hall of Shamer Nullin' Ryan throws out the first murderer.

The pictures of the former governor with Jackson persuade me that Ryan did this more for himself than he did for the condemned prisoners. With the possible exeception of Jimmy Carter there is likely no man drawing breath today more utterly convinced of his own essential goodness and decency that Ryan. Make no mistake about it: there are enormous psychic advantages to his actions--but only if he can bask in the very public praise of the liberal media and the dominent liberal culture in which he moves.
To: Charles Henrickson
He looks incompetent to me. As in, legally incompetent. This crap needs to be reversed pronto.
To: tubebender
Ryan has now lowered the Illinois Republicans to the same level as the Daley/Dimocrats.

It just occored to me Senile Ryan is a ringer for Dickie Rhiodan here in Ca. What disaster that would have been.

What were your state party officials doing/saying during the election processes behind his climb to the Governorship? Did they try to strangle conservative opposition? Did they push him as the only 'viable' candidate?
I ask because of the tendency for Republican leadership to court and groom RINO's in favor of conservatives in many situations and at all levels. I suspect this was the case here, but I'd like your input.

I could be wrong about the lavish liberal praise. It could be a local thing only. I just went to DU and looked hard for any mention of Ryan's death cell jailbreak. Not a single mention anywhere. Interesting.
