Opinions of After Hours with Cal Thomas?

What is everyone's opinion of After Hours with Cal Thomas. I thought it had an original touch to it. I absolutely loved him having Lauren Green play the piano!

"I absolutely loved him having Lauren Green play the piano!"Wow, was that Lauren Green? I didn't even realize it. I sort of had one eye on the TV and the other checking the LA returns on the internet.
But, overall, I thought the show was better than average. The opening monologue was fantastic -- although I can't remember what he talked about. The cozy ambiance added a little sophistication to Saturday night television -- as did the interview with Dick Cheney, of course.

I too liked Cal's opening, but I forget what he talked about. I could have lived without that guy singing at the end.

I don't think that was Lauren Greene.
I liked the set....gave a warm feeling to the show. Half hour is just the right amount of time! Nice to see Thomas with his own spot.

Well, if the rest of them are as good as the first one, FOX has another winner. I wish I would have caught all of it but I was on the LA thread, so.....
Anyway, I hope they do their usual weekend thing and re-run it a few times. Cal adds a touch of class to the weekend line up. Rather an original format.

I thought it looked like Lauren Greene, also. It was just a profile shot, but it looked an awful lot like her. I liked what little I saw of the show. He reminded me of Mr. Rogers.

Could have been, as Fox and Friends have talked about her being an accomplished pianist.

I think the show has great potential. Loved L. Green's performance. Yes, classy show.

** The opening monologue was fantastic**
He talked about America taking the religion out of Christmas and Hannukah.

And I liked the fellow singing.........the point was that the old-fashioned music is on the way back and definitely being revived.

old-fashioned music is on the way back...I'd like some Bach or Handel, myself...!!
(sorry...couldn't resist!! didn't hear the guy singing, but you can never hear "Every Valley..." too often!!! I'm sure it's not that kind of show, though, heHE!)

Cal said it was her. Thanks, I stand corrected.....I was running between my computer room (monitoring the LA election) & watching Cal on the TV in the den and I didn't hear that!
When she was playing; I saw her in profile; and it just didn't look like her to me......but, then, she's not in profile when she reads the news on Fox & Friends.

I missed it; was taping "Live in Baghdad". She is obviously a very well educated woman, a beauty contest winner, a very poised woman, and with a sense of humor.
Had the pleasure of meeting Cal Thomas earlier this year. He was here to speak on behalf of a good Conservative, just before the primary election--we got a rather liberal Repub instead as our US rep, very disappointing. The most amazing thing about Cal, other than his outstanding speech is that he is so tall, I mean like 6'5" at a minimum. He is also a very friendly sort, much more so than he appears on TV. I'll be watching from now on; he is very definitely a plus for Fox.

You were fortunate to meet him.....I heard someone on FOX mention how tall is was.....I'll also try to watch it as much as possible. We need more people like Cal on TV....do hope is show is a success.
