TOO BAD, TOOGOOD - YOU'RE A LOUSY EXCUSE FOR A PARENT

MOTHER of the Year Madelyne Toogood has three small children, four driver's licenses, and two names to chose from - depending upon the state in which she parks her trailer. But Mommie Dearest has not one permanent address.

The country now is as familiar with Toogood's parenting skills as it is with the danger of Hurricane Isidore. This past weekend, the savage in blue jeans was all over TV, furiously whacking her small daughter about the head, a scene caught on surveillance videotape.

Toogood's lawyer has a diffeent opinion---

"However, Rosen acknowledged that the videotape of Toogood could be practically insurmountable and that she would probably have to ask for the mercy of the court.

" We will probably enter a guilty plea and throw ourselves on the mercy of the court, Rosen said. "If a jury has to sit in judgment of this lady, the jury is going to come back with a guilty verdict … I'm confronted with a videotape that shows Attila the Hun, no question about it."[from ABC link on Drudge]

Andrea Peyser is one of the token liberal columnists for the NY Post (which is editorially conservative, and which is the only reason I buy it every day). She is a total anti-gunner and wants complete confiscation of our 2nd amendment rights. Every time there is a school shooting, she goes on her Papermate rampage. She also bragged about voting for Gore because he was pro-choice. The good thing about her, though, is that she hates the Clintons with passion, and really let loose on them with some good articles during BJ's eight-year reign of sleaze and corruption. She has been mum on Hitlery, though, since Her Heinous was coronated for the Senate, which leads me to believe that she is now supporting her.

She has a Sequoia, Late model high end Mercedes and an Escalade. One news report said her wheels are valued at more than $200,000.00

No job, no address, 3 children.

One abused that we know about, only we most likely will never know the truth.

She beat this beautiful little girl, BUT, did not realize it was too much until she viewed the tape.

In every interview she reverts back to spanking.

Now do we need to know more?????????????

I believe Ms. Toogood brought the fact that she was an Irish Traveler up, can't be positive, but will say this...when one takes their case before the media as Ms. Toogood did then one cannot complain that they continue digging...I don't think this case would have gotten the attention it has IF she hadn't gone to the media...sure made me wonder why she did that, she could have told the Court of her so called "mistake" and let it go, but no, she decided to go on national tv to make her case, can't think of too many shows this girl hasn't been on, sure didn't do anything to make me believe she was innocent of any, and/or all, wrongdoing! But now that she has I'd like to know how they happen to be so well off too...LOL...maybe a career change is in order...LOL

Well lets "armchair try, convict and just hang her now for other crimes against the state and get it over with..round up all the gypsies (must have been a real threat to society as haven't heard about them before)..The woman got caught on tape beating her child! Fact.. I dont need to see it played over and over. She should be punished.. fact!..Now lets video tape some other unsuspecting
individual and go on to the next Headline!

None of which were valid. I say that, because she skipped out on a TX charge of driving w/o a valid one earlier this year.

Her lawyer said at the news conference that she had a shoplifting charge back in Texas that she "had to take care of."

Believe me it wasn't easy. People would act so judgemental toward me because of his behavior. Than I would hear what a wonderful parent I was with the other 2. For years I felt I was a horrible parent. Now I realise that I learned more than most ever do about parenting from this experience. I do believe in spanking, but very rarely. I now believe spanking this child only made him tougher.

It caught my attention that Toogood's lawyer did not mention this when he mentioned the shoplifting charge (at least I did not hear it ).

Would you please get off your high horse on this? For somebody who thinks that this case is so "trivial" and not worthy of media attention, you've spent days writing about it and hectoring the rest of us about it. Hypocrite.

The case is absolutely trivial. Kids are being spanked by the tens if not hundreds of thousands in this country, every single day.

It's what the media had made of it that is interesting. Just another example of mass-manipulation by the mass-media helping you help your gov't take ownership of what's yours. In fact demanding it. And loving it.

So, let me repeat: media using trivial case to beat your the brains of the masses into a frenzy and make the masses demand or at least accept increased mass surveillance and the concept that the gov't cares more has more rights over the masses' offspring than the masses themselves.

Any time you hear the cliche: "the parents don't own the children" or "kids are not property" read "the government does and the gov't will dispose of other people's children as the gov't sees fit".

But since those things don't really impress me--I think it's stupid when "minorities" bring them up as an excuse to discount what is said--I tend to focus more on the fact that this woman is a horror.
