The Movie "John Q" With Denzel Washington
9/1/02

Posted on 09/01/2002 5:47:17 PM PDT by TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!

I watched the movie "John Q" today and am wondering what others that have seen it thought of this movie.

It was a very emotional movie, a real tear jerker that would make anyones throat get a lump in it. It was a good movie, but it was political propaganda. Towards the end their was up to date clippings on news and commentators.

Complete with Bill Maher/Hillary Clinton et al saying THE ONLY solutuion to the medical insurance issues that happen daily in our country---causing the young and the old to die waiting for an organ transplant; because insurance won't cover it is= NATIONAL HEALTH CARE!

I was shocked to see only after 'they get ya' with heartful and gut wrenching real life scenes the utter propaganda. The democrats will stop at nothing to fulfill their tyrannical goals is a fact I see watching this movie. It is truly scary.

Anybody else see this movie? What do you think>

I heard there is going to be a sequal called "Ron Q". In this sequal, the governemtn has taken over healthcare and this guy goes crazy cause the politicians won't pay for his kid's surgery. He goes bonkers and takes over an emergency room by force.

Then, to save the day, a SWAT team comes in, led by Hillary and blows his head off and saves the emergency room for abortions....

I was forced to watch that turkey on a flight recently... That's pretty much the same impression I had of the movie; socialist propaganda.

I can tell you saw the movie. That indeed sounds like the sequel.

I tend to try to stay away from pro-nationalization propaganda films. Haven't seen any of Leni Riefenstahl's work either....

Democrats caused the high price of medical care (with help from the Republicans) and now they need to FIX it. I think I will miss this movie.

Maybe the female I am; made me more emotional than most but I think I would have even had tears welled up watching this on a plane! The propaganda HITS YA in the end as the only solution= fully communistic.

From the previews it was obvious this was going to be a propaganda piece, so I didn't bother to go see it. But this incenses me.

I was watching this movie with my kids (teenagers). They asked if our health insurance would cover this kind of emergency. I said that we don't have any health insurance. My current contract job is "bare bones" and does not include any of the luxurious "perks" of my previous jobs, like health insurance and vacation pay. But it at least has a salary.

Well, what would happen if I needed a kidney transplant or something? I have 9 kids, I figure that makes 18 donor kidneys available.

Oh believe me this one gives no hint of what it is till the tears are flowing down your face at the very end. They should issue new LEFTIST PROPAGANDA WARNING codes with the adult language warnings in the beginning... but then again if they did; they would fail at THEIR push of ideals.

My kids asked me the same questions watching this movie with me. They said in a fright, "Is our insurance an HMO like the poor man's in this movie?"

I agree. It was a bulls**t movie; grossly overhyped. Sorry I rented the DVD.

Looked like moronic rubbish in the preview. I have a rule: only see amazingly stupid movies if things blowup cool, didn't seeing any cool explosions.

I have. Riefenstahl had more talent...

MediCare covers dialysis and kidney transplants (no matter what your age) and anti-rejection meds for 3 years thereafter. I don't know about other organs.

The plot was somewhat interesting. They did a good job constructing a scenario many Americans could identify with, but then they did ruin it with the propoganda piece at the end.

This was rather an unthoughtful statement. Many hospitals that do not turn away anyone are funded by you only through the price of health care. The insurance companies/Dr's. do not write it off.The government does not pay for it using any or your tax money. It is soaked up in the pandoras box that has been opened of high insurance/doctors rates of pay we all pay with every tissue used and false medical charges; if we have insurance.

So gripe thoughtlessly all the way to cheap all are covered government mandated national health insurance. Canada tried it and they come to the U.S. in droves as the waiting lists for this national health care are worse than a line at a water park in June.

Have fun having Senator Clinton dictate to you if you ever need a heart transplant. Money talks that is a fact but I do not think we need tyrannical government communisim to solve the joke that is now our medical care and insurance. Your thoughtless statement left no answers to your gripe but Hillary's answer.
