Of the people who actually ran for President, and had a real chance to be ellected (that excludes fringe kooks like the Libertarians), who do you think would be handling the greatest crisis since 1962 any better than Bush and his team?

That's just like saying that your house has a few less termites than your neighbor's house.

The fact that Bush was the more palatable candidate in 2000 doesn't change the fact that he's dropping the ball now.

Remember, Bush said this would be a different type of war and a long ongoing effort. The type of war you're referring to is the one where you know who the enemy is. This war involves going after people who hide behind civilians and have no government.

Then sit back and let him handle the situation, OK? It's so easy to sit at a computer desk and tell what the President is doing wrong. He bears HUGE responsibility. You bear none.

We all know what Bush can and will do to go after Hamas.

Since you apparently have some inside information, then when is he going to go after them?

You mean like Arafat and Saudi Arabia?

President Bush responds with a military offensive that is presently stalled. Al Quieda remains and continues to grow.

Continues to grow? Where? All of the information I've seen indicates that the Al Qaeda network is being disrupted and is shrinking, not growing.

The offensive is not stalled. President Bush said from the outset that this conflict will take years to complete. The level of intensity will vary over periods of time, and the conflict has moved into a new phase.

The Taliban regime that harbored Al Qaeda was quickly removed from power. Preparations are underway for a regime change in Iraq. We are making good progress.

Anyone who insists on assessing America's war efforts on a daily basis is bound to be disappointed. There was a time when immediate retaliatory action prevailed: see Clinton vs. Sudanese Pharmaceuticals.

Just because we don't nuke Baghdad or snipe Arafat at the drop of a hat doesn't mean these things aren't being considered. For those who haven't noticed, every single US action has, if not equal and opposite, a most certain reaction. Fools rush in, my friends, and I hope our president is demonstrating he is no fool.

With the power and force of the U.S., and the experience and capabilities of the Israeli forces unable to effectively eliminate terrorism, I'm sure you will be hailed as a genious and savior to all the human race when we hear from you on how to do it.

I think most people know that if the Israelis weren't so hamstrung by the Bush Administration, they would come very close if not outright eliminate terrorism.

Let me ask you this: Why has there been a drastic increase in terrorist attacks against Israel since Bush's election?

As soon as his poll numbers drop sufficientley he'll go after Saddam like his Daddy should have years ago.

First, I don't see how this belongs on the NEWS side as it is clearly a vanity,

From FreeRepublic's topics page:

News/Current Events = News and discussion of current events.

and second, what more exactly is it you want him to about the "Rag-head"?

What is he planning to do about Saddam? He talks about taking out Saddam and yet says nothing about removing Arafat.

Why?

Probably because the attacks of 9/11 engergized terrorists around the world. The same probably would have happened under Clintoon's watch as well.

Yes, you college juniors are much more world wise and knowledgeable than the rest of us, LOL. Please, impress us some more with your deep knowledge of the world and keen insight into politics.

Seeing how well-informed you are, is there some inside information you'd like to share with all of us?

I didn't think so.
