Well now, maybe you're right! Maybe such brilliance needs to be displayed. Why don't you guys who feel that Bush and his team don't know what to do, need to voluteer yourselves for duty. Maybe you guys can tell them just what to do, and set them on the right path, then their problems will be all over!

This Dubyette would just love to see a such military and foreign policy geniouses at work. Maybe you'll get hired to run the whole thing for Dubya, and he'll go on vacation knowing his realm is safe! How about it?

Quite right, and when you're done straightening out Dubya and his advisors, you can go to Israel, and show Sharon what to do, he'll be so glad to have you, and I can just imagine Arafat is just shaking in his shoes! Go for it!

Besides, I voted for Bush and I have the right to criticize him for not following through with his words.

I've already acknowledged your right to criticize.

What I want to know is how you'd handle the situation, the office, the war, the problems of the world differently. Complaining about it gets none of us anywhere. Critcism is one thing. Constructive crtisism is another thing entirely. I have no idea how I would handle the job. The problems must seem insurmountable I would imagine and I imagine President Bush faces that daily. And I'm no Bushbot either. I disagree with some of his domestic decisions. But wars are not always won by winning every battle.

You seem to forget the President warned you and I, cautioned you and I, asked you and I for patience. Did he not say this was going to be a long war? Do you not realize that we will lose a few battles? As a man who has seen battle, I can asure you we will lose many more lives at home and abroad until victory is achieved. Why?

Are you forgetting the last administration stripped this country of it's fighting ability, it's intelligence capabilities and weakened this nation to dangerous levels? The last administration helped the terrorists and the rest of the world to know that we are weakened and vulnerable?

And you think that eight years of damage is going to repair itself in in just 18 months because we elected a new President? Do you think all the left leaning socialist blame America first Gore voters went away just because the President was elected? Surely you don't think that all the battles on the home front went away? That the attitudes and morals of this country magically righted themselves when he took office?

Do you not realize that President Bush is having to fight an international war with all of our countries diminished capabilities, and at the same time try to rebuild a nation, it's military and it's intelligence capabilities, and placate issues at home? You're living in another world my friend. He inherited a nightmare, a mess and he's scrambling to clean up the mess while trying to defend a nation.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. I suggest you look at the broader picture before criticizing. If you can tell us how all of the above can be solved, if you've got a better plan of action, I'm all ears. Otherwise it's just bellyaching.

The points you make re: current news items, and the question re: bin Laden, are certainly valid.

But you didn't mention the postitioning of assets around the world, pawns, bishops and knights getting set up to strike when the time is nigh...a whole host of other items which I could draw to you attention.

No. The war is not stalled. Our campaign procedes with due and deliberate speed.

Who said I didn't have a right to comment? I had no idea you served our country, and if you did, I'll say I appreciate that vey much! What I was commenting on is your attitude! You are beginning to sound like a know-it-all. For your information, although I wasn't able to serve my nation that way, I wish I could have.

I have a family full of veterans, a lot of 'Dubyettes' have. So we also know a thing or two! My so-called smart remarks were aimed at not only you, but a bunch of other know-it-all Bush bashers that insult those who don't agree with you about Bush! We have a right to our opinions too!

Perhaps you are correct... these things have to be well organized...

and then there's the theater of public opinion, and we all know what extremes folks sometimes go to in that regard. Pearl Harbor comes to mind.

In any event, we probably won't know anything until after the upcoming elections, unless Bush decides to "wag the dog."

The outcome could be very interesting.

I think I'd better apologize! I aimed a critical, sarcastic comment at you by mistake. I meant to aim it at someone else, and hit the reply under your post. I thought I'd better correct that, excuse me!

You didn't answer ProudEagle's question. What would you do differently if you were in the Oval Office?

Definitley agree.

I expect you're also right about not knowing anything until after the elections. Don't think Dubya would wag the dog, but do think he'd go ahead if info reached him of imminent peril, regardless of timing.

Lacking that immediate threat, I'm thinking after the elections...seems that's what he told the wimpy-Dems to placate them in their emasculated hysteria.

Don't think so. My money says he's alive and well. If he were dead, we would have heard about it, probably in a very exciting way.

Oh yeah, you win. Whoops time to catch the 666 line into the senseless murder district. And I will rest easy, as I know I be safe on the public transportation.....

Well said, PE.

Thanks. I don't mind constructive criticism. But if you're going to point out errors or mistakes, have a solution at hand.

Fear not, the Patriot Act will save us all.

I think I'm going to enjoy spying and snooping on people. It could be fun, and I get to turn in the ones I don't like. :)

Five Americans die in a suicide bomber attack in Israel

You have to admit it's pretty damn dumb to go to Israel right now. Why not just stand in the middle of a highway at night with a blindfold on ?

I'm so disappointed in Bush. I honestly believe that he is more interested in protecting his poll numbers than doing what is right in annihilating terrorism.

Just for you the President should make sure that the war on terror is filled with jump cuts like Alias or The Agency so that you can get your denouement in an hour.
