Besides, I voted for Bush and I have the right to criticize him for not following through with his words.

I've already acknowledged your right to criticize.

What I want to know is how you'd handle the situation, the office, the war, the problems of the world differently. Complaining about it gets none of us anywhere. Critcism is one thing. Constructive crtisism is another thing entirely. I have no idea how I would handle the job. The problems must seem insurmountable I would imagine and I imagine President Bush faces that daily. And I'm no Bushbot either. I disagree with some of his domestic decisions. But wars are not always won by winning every battle.

You seem to forget the President warned you and I, cautioned you and I, asked you and I for patience. Did he not say this was going to be a long war? Do you not realize that we will lose a few battles? As a man who has seen battle, I can asure you we will lose many more lives at home and abroad until victory is achieved. Why?

Are you forgetting the last administration stripped this country of it's fighting ability, it's intelligence capabilities and weakened this nation to dangerous levels? The last administration helped the terrorists and the rest of the world to know that we are weakened and vulnerable?

And you think that eight years of damage is going to repair itself in in just 18 months because we elected a new President? Do you think all the left leaning socialist blame America first Gore voters went away just because the President was elected? Surely you don't think that all the battles on the home front went away? That the attitudes and morals of this country magically righted themselves when he took office?

Do you not realize that President Bush is having to fight an international war with all of our countries diminished capabilities, and at the same time try to rebuild a nation, it's military and it's intelligence capabilities, and placate issues at home? You're living in another world my friend. He inherited a nightmare, a mess and he's scrambling to clean up the mess while trying to defend a nation.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. I suggest you look at the broader picture before criticizing. If you can tell us how all of the above can be solved, if you've got a better plan of action, I'm all ears. Otherwise it's just bellyaching.
