There security is so far and above ours that I would be happy to abolish ours and use theirs.

Let's face it, though: They have a relatively small set of "enemies". It is rather easy for them to concentrate on just those people who mean them harm.

Our enemies are EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD, including right here in the USA.

Why don't the feds tell us how many bullets he had?

This isn't a trivial question.

I believe almost all of those who would seek to harm the US are also enemies of Israel. So I would disagree. We have probably many enemies within the nation but so does Israel. They have a large number of Islamic radicals within the green line including several members of the Knesset. In addition they have several millions of enemies living within 5 miles of their borders. Even so they do a tremendous job of keeping track of members of terrorists groups within and without Israel and only they and our security forces know how much intelligence they provide us. I suspect we owe a great deal to their forces for having prevented many an attack against us thru the years.

Why isn't every single person on the FBI's "watch list" been deported? Liberals.

When does President Bush take charge of the INS?

I wonder when the FBI is going to get their story straight? Yesterday an FBI represenative was "Quoted" as saying that Hadeyet Was Not on the FBI watch list. I know the title of this article is "LA airport gunman on FBI watchlist" but I don't see a quote in the article saying he was on the FBI watch list. I will check it out again :-)

After years of reading bogus reports from the NYT's and a few other news outlets, I have to see "Quotes" not the writers words. Yesterday during a live press conference Agent Garcia of the FBI said:
"Hadayet was not on any domestic or international watch list of criminals or suspected terrorists"
I looked at several other websites and couldn't find a "quote" from an FBI agent saying he was on the FBI watch list. In most cases the people on the FBI watcth list have ties to terrorist organizations and the FBI has an active file on everyone on the list. I question the accuracy of the Australian News outlet

Our enemies are EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD, including right here in the USA.
The essentials...
1) First and foremost, who is the foreign enemy? Is it a specific nation of people? A specific race or religion? Define "our enemies everywhere in the world" to the best of your abilities.
2) If it is a foreign enemy that is stateside, how did they get here in the first place? Were they allowed in or invited in?
3) What exactly is a domestic enemy? Could it be someone who "promotes democracy" instead of a republican form of government as the Constitution dictates as the law of the land?
Your statement is very vague, nonspecific and overly generalized.

Don't you question the accuracy of all news outlets? You should.
Otherwise you're just another pig at the slop trough, so to speak.

LOL, I always question what I read, and especially when the title of the article makes a claim and yet there are no statements from the FBI in "qoutation marks" that backs up the claim in the title

Ahhh, the good ol' "Lack of 'quotation marks'" or "cited source" argument.
90% of the news isn't in "quotation marks" or from "cited sources". Maybe because "officials", especially unnamed officials want to keep their cushy, desk jockey jobs. LOL!

A gunman who killed two people before being shot by an Israeli agent at the counter of Israel's airline El Al at Los Angeles airport was an Egyptian immigrant on an FBI watchlist, officials said today.
One things for sure...somebody said something or it wouldn't be reported. Newspapers can't just lie. Wait a second...can they? With impunity?
I'll be watching for the lawsuit against them.

Allow me to amend this...
Maybe because "officials", especially unnamed officials, want to keep their cushy, desk jockey jobs while at the same time appeasing their conscious with snippets of relative information.

LOL, you might be right, but with the constant attacks from the left whenever the FBI labels anyone I can understand why they're reluctant to call what happened at LAX an act of terrorism until they have investigated the case thoroughly. I think they are just being careful until then. I can't blame for that, considering the electronic age we live in with EVERYONE trying to find fault in whatever they do.

Considering all the people with ties to terrorist organizations that the Justice Department has locked up, and the cooperation from other countries who have done the same, and the fact, we havn't had a major terrorist attack since 9/11 the FBI and the CIA has been doing a good job IMHO.

Information Date: 11 October 01
The NIPC wishes to advise recipients that the FBI is seeking the following individuals who may have information related to the ongoing investigation of the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks against the World Trade Center and Pentagon complex.

Is there a new list? Are all names on the list?
Cold Trail OCTOBER 19 - 25, 2001
In this age of no information, I got a break. Last week, someone emailed me the FBI’s “watchlist” of 366 suspected terrorists and 14 organizations thought to be sympathetic to terrorism. The 22-page document, sent to financial regulators around the world, was posted by mistake on the Internet by Finland’s Financial Supervison Authority. The Web page was shut down several hours later. The FBI was not happy with what it called a security breach, but as one agent said, with resignation, “Stuff happens.”
Oh my...another "unnamed agent". I guess stuff really does happen.
How is a Citizen to know whether or not someone is on the list? We'll just have to "take someone's word on it", won't we.

QAZI OPENS URDU WEBSITE ON ISLAM

December 02: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has urged the positive use of information technology and pleaded for launching websites on Islam in Russian and Tajik language.

The Jamaat ameer expressed these views while speaking on the occasion of opening of an interactive website [www.hadayet.net] on Islam in Urdu here at Mansoorah. The JI leader declared the formal launching of the site by signing website-based guest book.

Founder team member of the hadayet.net Abdullah Faheem while briefing the salient features of the website said it is a non-profit site, maintained by ISP Cyber Link, which is dedicated for providing the net users information on the Divine religion in Urdu.

Speaking on the occasion the Jamaat ameer regretted that rulers were imposing the alien language, culture and civilization which is ripping off the fabric of our society. He said the access of pornographic material on the web could only be blocked if the government takes sincere initiatives in this regard.

The Jamaat leader termed the hadayet.net a blessed effort in the right direction saying that it is best use of information super highway that the same is used for the propagation of Divine message in a good lay out and design. He said the launching of hadayet.net is all the more laudable since it is carries information on Islam in Urdu, our national language.

Any nation, Qazi said, could not progress unless it gives due weight to its national language. He said Japan and China had touched the heights of economic and technological progress with the help of their national languages despite its difficult scripts. He regretted that instead of promoting our own national language, the rulers were spreading the western culture and civilization through their misdeeds.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that there are hundred million Muslims living the Central Asian Muslim States, liberated from Russia. But, he deplored, they are ignorant about the teachings of Islam. He said websites on Islam carrying information in Russian and Tajik language could be helpful in spreading the message of Islam in these states. Hadayet.net team leader Abdullah Faheem assured the JI ameer that their network would explore the possibility of extending technical facility to any such effort. Qazi presented a set of books and pamphlets, with reference to Ramadan, rendered by Syed Abu Alaa Moududi and late Khurrum Murad to the hadayet.net team on this occasion.

"How is a Citizen to know whether or not someone is on the list? We'll just have to "take someone's word on it", won't we."

And yesterday FBI agent Garcia was "qouted" saying Hedeyet was not on any FBI watch list. So who's to know. I doubt it would be wise for the FBI to publish their list. Like I said earlier, it's a case of symantics what we label the Islamic dead man Hedeyet now, or what we label his criminal act. It doesn't change the facts that he went to LAX and shot and killed 2 people before security killed him.
