Prayer Request-My Sister's Terminal Lung Disease

My sister was diagnosed with a rare lung disease on Friday, Interstatial Lung Disease. The prognosis is terminal. She is only 29 and in otherwise good health.

Appearantly, an infection, the nature of which is unknown, is producing a constant state of pneumonia. Since the doctors don't know the nature of the infection, they can not stop it. It is causing scar tissue to form all throughout the lungs. Scar tissue isn't very elastic and will not permit oxygen to travel from the lungs to the blood.

End result is that the doctor said in 1 to 2 years she will suffocate.

Requesting prayers for her and any medical info that could be of help/leads in stopping this infection before it ruins the remaining lung tissue.

Please lead all those close to her to assist her in whatever prayer process, healing process, laying on of hands or whatever else would be fitting. In Jesus' Name.

Thanks for responding...she is not a good candidate. She has gained quite a bit of weight as a result of the steriods they have placed her on. She needs to loos about 100 pounds of water weight.

Surprisingly, lung transplants are pretty temporary compared to most organ transplants...even if she was a good candidate. It appears the most time a person can look forward to after a lung transplant is about 5 years. :( BUT...5 years is pretty valuable...if she can qualify.

griffin, you might want to consider getting in touch with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. One of the Institutes, specifically, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute may have a cliical study ongoing, or they might be able to refer you to a clinical study in another state. YEA! CONGRATS.

We do know that waves of healing will be taking place such that in some meetings every single person will be healed regardless of illness. I don't know when this will begin or where.
