Tighter borders may hit schools

Monday, November 19, 2001 - Tightened border controls could mean that Latin American children in U.S. schools who go south for a traditional Christmas break can't come back. ......
"Crossing back into Mexico is no big thing" and usually getting back into the States isn't either, she said. But it could be this year, as border agents toughen up following the Sept. 11 attacks.
"Everybody that is in the United States illegally should be concerned,"
Another thread. Unbelievable! The schools could lose $$$!!!!!

They're just committing the crimes that Americans won't commit.

Lopez-Flores, who originally was deported in 1993 after a criminal conviction, acknowledged that he had helped at least 20 people obtain false Virginia IDs since last May. So how did he get back in....looks like he won't be crossing any more borders any time soon. 35 years in prison sounds like a good start in solving this particular problem. And if he has any assets, make sure they get to the victims of 9/11.

They're just committing the crimes that Americans won't commit. Our government can't even begin to be serious about the "war on terrorism" until they close our borders. That should have been the first order of business, the closing of our borders. The big show in Afghanistan won't mean much as long as we allow anyone and everyone to enter this country as they please.

Maybe they should hire him as a border guard. If you believe 60 Minutes, some Border Patrol have serious criminal records and are as crooked as the scumbags they're supposedly trying to catch. Mighty discouragin'.

Unbelievable. Un-freaking-believable.It would be unbelievable if we had a government that had as it's number one priority the safety and security of this country. Considering where the priorities of our government are it is totally believable.

Did any of you see this little jewel?
Bloomberg: I Won't Enforce Immigration Laws."We will provide the services, whether they are health care services or education for their children or anything else we can do irregardless of the federal government rightly trying to make sense out of our immigration policy."

I can hardly wait to see what an "outstanding" job our new fat-as**d "public servant" Airport Security bozos do. Welcome to the land of job security, not airport security.

Our safety and security shouldn't even be a priority issue. We are guaranteed that under the Constitution. We should take that for granted. We still have a Constitution don't we?

Washington fails to deliver customs agents By Douglas Turner
Buffalo News, November 18, 2001
http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20011118/1041908.asp
WASHINGTON -- Congress and President Bush have failed to back with hard cash the new anti-terrorism law, which calls for tripling the number of federal agents guarding the country's border with Canada.
Instead of adding 4,600 agents, as required in the Patriot Law passed after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Congress last week appropriated money for only a few hundred more to patrol what critics warn is a 4,000-mile-long pathway for terrorists.
