I just hit the abuse button on a different thread where military options were being discussed as though people were just standing around the water cooler.

I beg all of you to sharpen your resolve, keep your anger in check for when you will really need it, and STOP DISCUSSING OUR MILITARY OPTIONS! Nobody cares how smart you may think you are at this point. GWB has some of the best minds in the world working on a plan right now.

For the love of God, stop commiting treasonous acts by giving the enemy ideas which could be used against us.

While I'll be the first to say it - you're overreacting. Discussing what should be done is a damn sight different than people reporting deployments, air movements, ship movements, etc, which is clearly verboten. Thus far, I think the biggest call for military option from many folks is "nuke 'em" or "stuff bin Laden's body in the skin of a pig". Using your post as a guide, we could not even discuss the readings in On War without some fear. And all this talk of options, etc is nothing without logistics. We can't out pace supplies, ordnance and POL. Desert Storm was a good case study in making sure your logistical tasking was able to support the mission. Whatever we do must be able to be sustained from a logistical standpoint.

Discussion of what could happen is a far cry from what will happen. If the bastards are lurking here for information, the various options put forward by different people should be enough to have them scrambling to cover more possibilities than the mind can cope with.

Fear, uncertainty and doubt are the best weapons the terrorist have, but turnabout is fair play. Let's keep kicking these options around, keep them in suspense, their imaginations working overtime. I hope that any states that sponsor these bastards are wetting their pants with the thought of what might happen.

Well, I am sure the terrorists already know that we read Machiavelli, Lao Tzu, Patton, and study the history of every war ever held since the days of the ancient Egyptians.

Here is the secret. We are very smart, very mean, and very ruthless. We accept only total victory and total surrender. We will use every tactic that will work. We think out of the box and invent new boxes when needed. They are about to be history.

So, their best tactic is to kiss their family goodbye and rush to Allah now. At least that way they can pick a death at a time and place of their own choosing. If they are worried about their families then they better kill them all as well to keep them from suffering later.
